Finally finished the Irishman last night. Not sure I’ve ever enjoyed a film so much where nothing really happens but in a way I don’t think it needs to. Every main role is played by a legendary actor and they all play them so well. The one thing I love about Stephen Graham is that it doesn’t matter whether he’s in a film with a massive Hollywood budget or a gritty Shane Meadows channel 4 drama, he always plays his character so well.

Started the Lillyhammer series on Netflix today, been on my list for ages. I am a huge fan of the Sopranos so was a bit worried about this.
Much better than I expected it to be, it is a comedy, but holds up well. Will be giving it at least 1 full season.

Death to 2020 is excellent

Obviously watched a few films with the good lady over xmas, some notables:
Krampus (she wanted a xmas horror, not really scary but entertaining)
Educated the mrs by making her watch Falling Down, classic!
Arkansas, really enjoyed this one (netflix) much better than I was expecting.
The Midnight Sky, avoid this one, Clooney was ok in it but the film is a whole lot of nothing.

@ryan-carruthers I was so gutted with The Last Jedi when I came out of the cinema that I just never bothered to pay any attention to further films from Disney, Have not seen the Solo film either.
Its a shame as I think Adam Driver was wasted in those films, really like him as an actor, the more I see him in the more im impressed with him.

@john-folan Yes hopefully the Obi series will be in the same spirit as that could be fantastic. Hayden Christensen is rumored to be coming back to play Anakin. Thought he did it really well in the prequels.
I have seen a lot of behind the scenes reports of bickering on the Mandalorian. The lead actor, Pascal, crying about not have his face on screen (surely he knew what he signed up for) and wanting Gina Carano sacked as she differs in political opinion.
I am relieved to see people on here saying the show is good though
