@ryan @Darri I thought Liverpool did one when the American owners came in but was only aired in the USA. Might be the same one you're talking about on Channel 5.
The Palace documentary was made by 2 fans who have spent the past 7 years trying to sell it to a broadcaster, it wasn't made by the club. I'm sure Darri can tell us the amount of time, money and effort that goes into making these sort of documentaries. It'll be quicker and easier for the Liverpool owners to try and hike the price of match day tickets up to £70 again!

@darri It would 100% re build that trust wouldn't it? Me and my mates watched Liverpool do a crossbar challenge years ago on YT and still talk about it now lol
-
@john-folan the spurs one for us on amazon despite the success of the season (none) was actually a good watch, watching levy be in awe of jose in the whole thing, only to fire him before a cup final the following season makes for a good rewatch I really hope that a team is actually doing one and has the super league stuff on it, netflix and amazon would be rubbing their hands together
-
@ryan liverpool did used to do a weekly one on channel 5 when rodgers was in charge i think, was not nearly as well produced as the amazon and netflix ones but probably gave the idea to them. Yep it surprises me that liverpool and man utd arent the 2 that are wanting this, would gain way more audience than any of the others, given whats going on behind the scenes right now tho with fans not happy with owners maybe will have to wait a bit longer

it amazes me why these teams don't do more of this themselves, I know Liverpool has used their YouTube channel a little more than other teams - but I'd devour hours of stuff on Liverpool on YT! Imagine the revenue they'd generate - which we know is what they care about.
They have a great series of How To videos.
How To Steal Hubcaps.
How To Claim Benefits.
How To Moan About Everything.
How To get all English Teams banned from Europe.
How To make sure the press never mention it. (hmmmm).
How To get a curly perm. -

@john-folan It's the hope that kills you

We were top for a bit.
We were drawing in a final for a long time.
We made the Super League and it was cancelled. Also released a game:

There is going to be 2 documentaries about the greatest football team in the world. Amazon are releasing a mini series in June called "When Eagles Dare" about Crystal Palace's push from administration in 2010 to promotion in 2013. I'm sure it'll be a heartwarming story for the whole family to enjoy
Channel 4 are set to film a documentary series on our Academy, who are actually doing pretty well. Our current youngsters could be the next Wilf Zaha, Wan-Bissaka and Victor Moses in a few years - although we hear that every year.
In terms of entertainment "Sunderland Till I Die" is a great watch, although I don't think they're making any more?
It’s great that they are putting fan fiction on mainstream providers now

Started 3rd Season of Gomorrah recently but only watched first episode. If that's anywhere near as good as the first 2 it will be awesome.
Also just started 'When They See Us' last night, about 'The Central Park 5' wrongly accused and railroaded into admitting the rape and battery of a jogger in central park in 1989. If anyone is familiar with this it's the one where Donald Trump suggested bringing back the death penalty.

@dan-mackinnon I 100% agree!!!

@dan-mackinnon wow some money saving hacks there I like it!!

@ryan-carruthers @Keith-Anderson I get loads of Audible. Another feature you might not be aware of is that you can return books and get a refund. You have 12 months from when you purchase them. They don't question it but the general rule is "don't take the p**s". Some audiobooks are dreadful or not what you were expecting at all so it's valid to return them. I've returned about 5-6 books before they removed that feature but it'll reinstate every 12 months I believe.
Finally, if you have a library card or a member of your local library, most local councils are registered with ebook and audiobook lenders. It's the same as Audible/ Kindle but you borrow books. Croydon Libraries use one called Libby which is excellent.

Ive never been a huge audible fan I prefer the book, but I have found recently that I used audible as there's books I wanted to read but I never seem to be able to with the baby so I got audible and am getting through more I am hooked.
There is also Whispersync which links to kindle and audible and will pick up where you left off!

@dan-mackinnon I did not know this!!

Never considered Audible but I don't have the patience or concentration for reading anymore so maybe a good alternative.
I’ve noticed that with me. I’m making an effort though. Well trying to

Slightly off topic, but if anyone uses Audible there is a 2 for 1 sale currently on with quite a lot of decent books included.
Its probably common knowledge, but if you use Audible never pay the full price for books. It’s most cost effective to buy 3 more tokens and each book works out about £4. They’re also forever having some sort of sale on.
(Apologises, that is the cost consultant in me coming out)
I buy loads from audible. I love it!
