@matthew-biggins i found it part comedy part drama part insanity! loved it lol
I agree with the insanity part haha. I just wasn't a fan of how they've tried to create a narrative, like I dont think theres even that much of a story there.
Every episode was something different, I was expecting it to have a theme, like the episode when they first mentioned Baskin killing her husband I was like 'oh so this is the story' and then it hardly got mentioned again. Then the other guy came in and took the zoo and I was like 'ohh is this the story?' then that kind of went away and then there was the murder for hire thing and then I was like 'well this must be it, they must actually kill her' (not that I wanted anyone to die or anything). Fair enough he went to prison for it but even then it didnt feel like it was a story worth telling.
I'm surprised because some of the other Netflix documentary stuff like making a murderer or the Jeffrey Epstein one were really intriguing but this one just felt like they were making it up as they went along.

I know I'm probably late to the party with this but Ozark? I was told about it by a mate so I started watching it and its much better than I thought
Just started watching that, it looks very good so far.
Also, a bit late with this one, but whats with the love for that Tiger King? All I felt after watching it was that I could not care less about what happens to any of them. They're all crooks.

Bit of an older one but I can recommend Black Sails to everyone as well. Thoroughly enjoyed that.
Very good. Lots of sex too haha

@gary-brown I really want to like the Witcher as the books are good and I like Henry Cavil.
Also Henry Cavill for the next Bond! He could totally pull it off.
-
@gary-brown I know what you mean recent stuff just somehow doesn't seem so good. Both of those were on my watchlist so I will have my cynics eye open for those.

@gary-brown Yes. Stick with it though, it took 3 or 4 episodes for me to like it.
i give it a go.
I tried watching a few things recently and gave up like the frontier and even white lines i gave up watching that half way through the series. The witcher i didn't stick with i just watched one programme and gave up.
Not sure if they were worth sticking at and trying again.

@john-folan Absolutely. I am an OLD SCHOOL X-men fan so thought this would be a crap rip off. I was also getting fed up with all the cookie cutter marvel films. But this series is its own thing and really good! Much more adult/dark/real person aspect to it.
Is it true to the comic? Did the comic come first?
I read the other day author is the lead singer from My Chemical Romance

@richard-latimer 100% stick with it, there are plot twists and character twists.
It’s excellent isn’t it? Can’t wait for the next series. Bought the comic as well.

Gotta say Umbrella Academy was great, really didn't think I would like it for first few episodes but the storyline and characters got really interesting. Refreshingly different take on superhero marvel type stuff. 2nd season to start in July I think.
Watched 2nd espisode last night and it seems worth plugging away.
