@john-folan I liked it too! Thought it was pretty good!

Loving the Bad Batch. Exploring the early days of the Empire. Even the child they inserted into it isn’t that annoying. Another Filoni masterpiece.

Anyone had a pop at The Tomorrow War yet? Good scifi action film that’s not too demanding.
Doubt it, not everyone is Autistic like you!

Just seen the trailer for this:
Looks good!
Yeah I saw that. Thought it was going to be a series initially. Would have loved that.

I have just finished the Hail Mary Project by Andy Weir (wrote The Martian, film version had Matt Damon).
Can thoroughly recommend it! Better than the Martian, and I liked that a lot.I had the audible version and its read by the excellent Ray Porter.

Just watched a quick episode of 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' before bed. Bunch of narcissists who run a bar in Philadelphia. Seriously funny and sometimes very very cruel.
Danny Devito is in it although not until the 2nd season.

Smashing through Gardens of the Moon so thanks for recommending the Malazan Book of the Fallen series.
Be warned about 2nd book, it jumps to a different continent, different set of characters. Same empire though. Book 3 then comes back to follow Gardens of the Moon.
There’s another author writing in the same universe as well isn’t there?
Will try his when I finish this lot. Thanks for the warning though
Yes I think Castlemount is his name. They co created the universe to be an role playing system years ago I think.
I haven't read any of the Castlemount stuff yet but I think its set slightly before what you are reading now and only loosely connected.Pretty much. I think. I’ll be a while getting through these and then my daughter bought me the Altered Carbon books so it will be some time before I get near looking at them.

Watched Motherless Brooklyn last night about pi with tourettes. Real noir feel to it like Chinatown. Ed Norton wrote, directed and starred. Prob one of my favourite actors although not done much for a while.

@john-folan If you like Gardens of the Moon then you will like the rest as they get better and better.

@richard-latimer never seen it, I’ll give it a look.

Any fans of Gomorrah here? Not always an easy watch and subtitled but prob one of the best mafia dramas out there and I include Sopranos in that.
