Scope - 5,10 or 20 ??

Hi, what do you do? When building out filters how far back do you go with scope. I am torn between 10 (for consistency) and 5 for current form.
What do you guys think?

@nhouse what i do is use the 5 game scope on my filter then use same strategy but with a seperate 10 game scope filter. I then eliminate what games arent on both. You dont need to score them off but its a good way to eliminate if you filter produces alot of games. Id always favour current form than whole season form. Personal opinion but i think a wider scope than 10 and your just looking for games rather than whats currently happening in the season. Also odds tend to favour historic stats so you find some great value. 5 games at home and 5 games away is plenty to gain a hypothesis of a match. Id only use the 10 game scope filter if i get too many selections for a weekend, id typically be able to manage during the week.

10/20 is optimal, I know 5 is sometimes what people like but for me it is too recent. I guess it depends how heavily you use the filter, so if you use the filter as your main research and rely heavily on it then more games are better. If you just use it as a shortlist guide and watch the match before entering then less could work.

I like to look at full season (I know it is not avail on here, so lets say 20) and also current form (5) as I think they both have their place.
Season (20) looks at how the teams like to perform and pick out patterns. So for EG FHG - If a team has an 80% strike rate for a fhg for the season you know that this team likes to "go for it" in the first half and that's a good tick in the box.
Then you want to make sure the team is not on a run of bad form, a slump or perhaps changed their tactic recently and that's where 5 comes in handy.
That's MO thought
