    @stephen-arnold
    Fair comment. However, that would mean missing opportunities. Avoiding a winner now and again is impossible, besides if I had to choose one then I may have chosen the winner.

    @paul-keighley

    Good point Paul. It does depend on market movement. Anytime from ten minutes onwards I find suits me. If a selection is at the bottom of its range I will then lay.

    In general though, putting in an order a few ticks below the current price just above a resistent point seems to work pretty well. But of course always keep an eye on the market.

    I have already mentioned in a previous post that if one of these lays is "really" strong in the market during the last four minutes, then discretion is needed, for me I take a small red and move on.

    @michael-roberts Good stuff Michael, following with interest.
    How soon before the off do you usually lay or do you just lay at BSP?

    The 4.10 race was a good example of when to trade out, horse was going backwards and being ridden three out. It was time to trade out for a 12 point profit on this race, but that will not show on the excel sheet as it is a winner. Nonetheless a 4 point profit on the day even with the one winner.

    Usually when one of these lays is really well backed in the last 4 minutes I tend to take a small red before the off.

    Thank goodness the price of the winner in the 1.45 was out of range, we got away with one there.

    @charles-cartwright TBH I find navigating and starting new threads on this forum somewhat troublesome. I cannot find some posts. If I were able to determine which is the actual racing thread then I probably would post there Charles.

    I have another thread that I would like to begin that has been profitable for me for a number of years. However, if I could find the correct place to post then I would begin the thread.

    I have searched the Horse racing thread along with the new ideas thread and I cannot find where to begin a new threads tab within these....TBH I find the way this forum is layed out along with navigation just too confusing.

    @jarratt-perkins Thanks for your queries.

    One meeting per day is all the time I am able to research thoroughly.

    The meetings I choose are between the main meeting of the day and/or the better quality renewals.

    @michael-roberts said in [Daily Horse Lays that can also be traded.]

    Selections are taken from one meeting per day.

    Why do you select only one meeting per day and what makes that meeting your selection?
