For the previous two months I have been laying horses using my own criteria. I have not kept any records. To date they have proved to be very profitable.

I shall post these on a daily basis for a while in order that records are kept.

One or two points with these lays. Selections are taken from one meeting per day. Anything over 7.0 should be layed at half stake, max lay price 11.0.

Starting with a 100 point bank. Selections can also be traded in running if you wish.

Beginning with 2 points per lay (not liability). So a 2 point lay on 3.0 would have a liabilty of 4 points.

    Friday 1st Nov
    Nmkt 1.40 Precious Moments.
    2.50 Fun Mac
    3.25 Fly the Flag
    4.0 Severnaya

    Total Staked: 8 points

    Tuesday 24th March 20

Due to the current circumstances we have to adapt to what is available to trade. So for the time being whilst UK racing is suspended I shall be posting a selection or two where they come along. They will be selections from Ireland. I know that a lot of investors (Including myself) are not too keen on Irish racing, but I shall just stay with it for a while.

I have no idea what the strike rate will be, but I am hoping for around the 10% mark. This may seem a little low but keep in mind the prices for these selections will in the main be anything from 4/1 to 33/1.

These selections I shall be BACKING EW not laying. The prices shall be very decent and It is easy to dismiss big priced horses, however, they do win their fare share of races. So lets begin with todays selection which is currently trading around 18.0 on BF.

    Clonmel 3.0 Dreal Deal
    1pt EW

Love to know what made you select that horse!!!

    Best of luck with these

As stated in my very first post in this thread 'I shall post these on a daily basis for a while in order that records are kept'

The sample is in my view now large enough and although a profit has been made on the original bank it needs to move forward further. It is time to change tact and try something else using the same selections.

Looking back over the results laying these for a place may make it more profitable.

From today Tuesday 17th March 20 these will now be layed for a place only using the same bank as before.

If a selection steams in during the last couple of minutes before post time by more than 1 whole point, then it would be advisable to get out and take a small red before they go in running.
