We will have a delayed start in Belfast due to a damp pitch. Historically here it’s a win toss bat first and win ground but the condition of the pitch may change that.

ENGvIND Looking at the weather radar it looks like there will be minimal rain in Manchester on Friday morning as it stands and pretty clear for rest of the test.

Not sure how long draw price will stay where it is so will be having a small lay on the draw and will top up if it drops much lower assuming no change in forecast.

Lots of cricket today, starting off in Belfast with Ireland and Zimbabwe at 10.30 with ODI, T20 with Bangladesh v New Zealand at 11 and then two CPL games, I’ll likely give the midnight one a miss.

Looking to trade the first few overs only on all 3 of these, I got a little greedy yesterday in JT v TKR and held a lay on TKR longer than I normally would have done and then Pollard just cleaned up.

Thankfully JT were so poor it was easy to win this back plus a little extra so no harm done but took up a fair bit of time and that’s why I’ll be leaving the midnight game.

Price has come in from when I looked earlier. Certainly looks to be rain around Friday/sat and Sunday morning

Forecast is poor for Thursday and Friday so could be a good call.

@tom purely from a stats perspective I think England to win is a lay but I'm already on that at a slightly higher price and it's not short enough yet for a top up for me. When it goes below three I will be highly interested.

England may well win of course but these lay teams chasing really high totals have made me a lot of money over the long term as the market always rates the win more likely than it actually is.

hope a few got on, candy from a baby and all that, yet again!

Closing yesterday’s India lay, not pushing too much here as it’s been a great test for trades and finishing with a healthy profit. Time to kick back and watch it play out.

Could that 1.85 ish be the shortest we see the draw today

Taking anything of touches 1.9 again even singles are huge this first session

im laying IND for a swing when root in if happens early today
    1.8-2.6 styles example

draw if 1.8 1.5 1.2 all lays for targets

Good plan; especially with the draw now a firm favourite - must admit that one caught me on the hop!

A solid start with no wickets this morning and two of the best T20 batsmen in the world to come could make this very interesting. Early wickets for a lay of India maybe?

So how is every feeling this morning, England chasing 291 runs with new ball due in 48 overs, so we should see this mid 2nd session.

I can’t see India taking 10 wickets today so for me an England win or draw are most likely outcomes.

Aside from being an absolutely absorbing test there should be some great opportunities for a trade today, it’s going to come down to the final hour in my opinion and typically I’m busy between 5&6!

If India don’t win this test everyone will bring it back to the non selection of Ashwin. India may also look to regret the decision that it looks like they’ve decided that Jadeja is the answer to their middle order problems. Jadeja’s great strength is he works well with Ashwin and is a destructive lower order batsman. Now he’s been expected to score runs batting at 5 and bowl his side to victory on day 5. Jadeja doesn’t lack confidence and was probably all for the batting promotion but by failing in both innings that confidence may have an impact on what he can do tomorrow. England might very well tomorrow look to attack him and put more pressure on the quicks to bowl for on a deck they’re getting nothing from.

Side note he’s my favourite cricketer so I’d rather see him take 8-80 tomorrow.
