@richard-futter oh mate don't tell me that I struggled to sleep last night and after locking in a profit went to bed after Maxwell went out.
I hear what you mean tho, as I was saying the other day, Barbados traded at 1.02 with ball and bat and ended up getting smashed in Antigua. -
@james-woodroffe In fairness, I was thinking the seamers could do the damage last night, but laying low in all forms of cricket can often pay huge dividends. The T20 match between New Zealand and Australia this morning was amazing, with the Kiwis going from 1.01 to 3.0 before eventually winning.

Will the heavy roller work can Eng get 12-0 and market price shoot up
-
@richard-futter great shout again, Yep I reckon we could be done sooner than later also but you never know.
-
@james-woodroffe very much so.... and the lay of India at 1.1 is looking pretty good now. Have to say, though, this could very easily be a 2-day Test match!

Very good start to day 2 from England huge wicket dare we say game on?
-
@babar-malik Do not stress about missing the draw lay in this test match mate as you still have to look for value and today it didn't come, but theres plenty more test matches to come this year.
I don't worry about 1st innings run markets in tests to be honest mate some guys do but I tend not to.
The money is mind blowing there was easily 40 million in the market today during the PSL which is what makes it so great to trade.
Happy to help Babs and hope to see you on here more. -
@james-woodroffe That's awesome. Thanks so much for taking out the time to explain the strategy. It all makes sense to someone who follows cricket matches closely. Till now, I have greened up on the easy strat of laying both teams at 1.4. I am ruing not to lay the draw at the start of India v England. Although the odds were fairly high at the start, my gut was telling me to go in. Have you dabbled with the 1st Inns runs market yet? Might be a few opportunities there in Test cricket as there is always plenty of time and you might need just one decent partnership to enter and exit the market before fall of wicket. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw over £17m matched in the Ind v Eng game. Didn't realise the cricket market could create such high numbers. Thanks again for your help buddy. Much appreciated.

@babar-malik Hi Babar, I’m still very much learning this as I go along but I do love cricket so that’s helping me.
For T20 trading I have pretty much adopted @Richard-Futter’s strategy that you can find here on the BTC website which I highly recommend. I look to back the batting side from roughly the 3rd-4th over and build green and remove liability as I go.
In the last 10 overs of a run chase (sometimes a few less) if the chasing side has a set batsman at the crease with power hitters still to come and the run rate under control I’ll back the chasing team and get out ideally around the 18th over once the chasing side hits around 1.10.
As Richard points out sometimes the first innings backing of the batting side can go against you so use smaller stakes such is the frenetic pace of T20’s, games can change pretty quickly.
If the team batting first scores heavily 180+ I’ll let the trade run for the first couple of overs of the chase in case they pick up a couple of quick wickets in case the chasing side never gets going.
I hope that helps you welcome to BTC and definitely check out the other strategies on the BTC website you’ll find others that may suit you better. -
@james-woodroffe Hi James! I joined BTC a couple of days ago. I have been mainly involved in football trading but I am more interested in cricket. I will greatly appreciate if you can provide some in play trading strategies or tips as you seem to be an experienced cricket trader. Thanks

Semi final tonight on BT ESPN of the Super 50 in Antigua. Jamaica are a serious underdog against Trinidad and Tobago but as I type making a good fist of batting first and giving their spinners something to bowl at. If they can get around 260-270 they’ll be right in the match and obviously boyed by their effort against Barbados. Trinidad obviously the stronger side but in a knock out who knows. Jamaica do need to bat well tho.
-
So a funny thing happened today, I stuck to strategies in T20 that have worked well in the past and didn’t go off script. 5 points green to cut into yesterday’s debacle so much happier.
Would be a lot happier if I didn’t get out of my India back this morning so early but you never know what day 2 could bring Red not concerning in any way at the moment. -
1.11 for me.
-
Following Richard here I'm in @1.12
-
Just a thought, but there's now every chance England will be bowling as the light fades and that can be the best time for the seamers. A very low risk lay of India around 1.1 might not be the worst trade in the world.
-
ENG price is stupid Lay and again if got to 4's #inwhatlife ... should add looking for double so 18's be nice
-
I love Jofra, but you have to say it would be amazing if he were still there in an hour's time.
