A good morning this. The loss of wickets actually seems to be shortening India's price as the draw becomes less likely. Very unusual.
-
@richard-futter trimmed on that pole my eyes ha
-
The sensible move under these circumstances is probably to lay India - if they go off they'll drift, if they lose wicket they'll drift even quicker.
-
Fingers crossed here.. huge for potential threat to draw market
Dude who likes to up the tempo now rolls in -
Having said that, the light does look bad. So difficult to predict when it comes to the light; give me heavy rain showers interspersed with sunshine any time.
-
@dj-reid how’s things . the price is pretty thin to lump with close to full day possible when play starts obviously late on light could play a part . What i like to say to myself is what happens first say 1.2 or does it ease to a stop loss point of your choosing like say 3.5-4.0 and cop it sweet
Just an example
Reckon now with the news of potential days play the price worst case will hover close to what is currently is give or take until later in day
Obviously drifts with wickets , unsure when IND would push the button on trying to build the run rate
What will sharpen the draw price is change of INNS and say NZ start 10-0 after 6-8 oversNovel sorry ha
-
@dj-reid I definitely would not be backing the draw at the current price. They'll play until 7 today; tomorrow looks bad, but there's every chance of full days of play on Tuesday and Wednesday. If you put a gun to my head I'd rather be a layer than a backer.

20 wickets could be a challengeA back of the draw now a good shout?

Very light but persistent drizzle here this morning. Covers are on its grey and miserable and also at the moment no sign of the teams at the ground. A start on time at this stage seems unlikely hope I’m wrong tho.

Incredible woman’s market draw as low as 1.08 eng as low as 1.16
Tests are the greatest -
Taken what green I’ve got NZ IND
Ominous signs light going forward perhaps -
Bless IND W fill up
-
draw market steady enough with this run rate
eye on first wicket
potential lay to back nz while kholi walks to crease
india odds on would eye a lay -
Ball starting to seam and swing nicely now.

@dj-reid Possibly Indian supporters piling in. Often happens, then they come to their senses and the price meanders out again. Now back out to 4 without a great deal happening on the field. Good swings to trade on.
Thanks Richard
I've always assumed the only people placing on the Exchanges especially for cricket are traders and not supporters/gamblers.
I'm not complaining though!

India in from 4.7 to 3.3 with 3 runs on the board and Boult yet to bowl a single ball... madness!
Why does this happen? The markets in cricket seem to swing so heavily with very little justification!
