Start of play delayed. Dunno a start time yet but drizzle came as soon as we went on air. No overs will be lost unless play starts after 11am. It’s light and annoying.

What would the benefit of New Zealand batting on this morning would it not be better to declare where they are now for India to get 200/250 then set up a run chase for the end of today/tomorrow.
Unless New Zealand score quick runs today and have a lead of around 200 then declare this evening with the view of bowling India out, if they bat at the same pedestrian pace as on Sunday, a result is highly unlikely

@nathan-bennett I’m hoping the two skippers have been attending the @Richard-Futter school of positive thinking and we see aggressive cricket today and they push for a result 196 overs max game on Go the Kiwis.

Good morning from Southampton I can confirm that play will be starting ON time at 10:30. 98 overs hopefully today.

@dj-reid if wickets fell say 2-3 and who ever at crease looks settled could be tempted to back draw so as I feel can get 40-50c out of the market but no backing it at current .. would love to see Nz bat dominate to head towards a winning score a potential declaration but again hard to foresee at mo
