Basically it's England Reserves - apart from an undercooked Ben Stokes - against an always dangerous Pakistan outfit. The tourists are rightly favourites as far as I'm concerned, but England have a record of scoring highly in Cardiff. Whether they can reproduce that with such a makeshift side is open to serious doubt, so if Pakistan can post anything over 300 they'll be in a very strong position.

@matt-ayles nothing predetermined mate. The deck in Cardiff for the T20I was pretty poor so I’ll be keeping an eye on how that plays and it will probably be a case of just seeing how the match progresses.

Mahmudullah is such a classy player crazy that he’s been out of the test side for 18 months.

    Good Morning,
What are everyone's thoughts on England v Pakistan today given the issues with the squad?
Forecast is ok, although it may be a bit stop/start throughout the afternoon...

no gains to speak of from me
    looking at game market situation
this 1.25 has to be very short/rock bottom ?
do we see this price when ZIM bat 2nd INNS
couple wickets and a 15-20/0 start by ZIM be gold
I've LAY BANG 1.25 looking for the market to move on impending change of INNS would love 1.50 to take 1/3rd of the red out would even chance it and re lay BANG 1.12 range
willing to see this out even if took 4th INNS for markets to potentially move

Five wickets down and Bangla still 1.46... of course, they could recover but those are crazy odds. Who on earth is backing them at that price?

Small lay of Bangladesh here at 1.34

Shakib falls as I type and suddenly it’s 1.50. Zimbabwe been very impressive so far.

the partnership theory's a great one , depends what day it is to be backing the shorts for a trade for mine just cause of longevity of being matched but what your saying no doubt will happen if continues

i like to in a situation like this be on the market moving the fastest . current match stage laying ZIM will climb rapidly

With this partnership growing looks like a spot to back BAN to lay them. In at 1.35 then 1.38 and looking to lay again 1.27-1.30 which will come up soon if these guys keep it up or come in if they keep building this 1st INN total.

Haven't traded much cricket but the tactic of backing strong partnerships and laying broken ones/weak spots in a batting line up seem like good spots to trade (back to lay or lay to back respectively).
Keen to hear any others thoughts on cricket trading

@richard-futter hoping 365 have a stream . interesting first 1/2 hour to start if bowlers can be a threat early if not draw may train in under 5's be great

The first Test between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh starts soon, and I expect it to be a much closer affair than the betting suggests. Despite Zims looking slightly weakened, they're no pushovers in home matches. I also think laying the draw will be a very safe option. The weather looks perfect for all five days, and there has only been one draw in the last 15 matches in Harare. In the UK, the match is being covered on Freesports.
