Jofra Archer out for the rest of the year. I don't think the Ashes are coming home any time soon!
-
Judging from the radar, looks like the rain will be hitting Nottingham from about 3pm onwards, but is ,unlikely to wipe out play for the rest of the day. Could pay dividends to lay India initially, then back them as things start to clear up.
-
Cloud rolling in - a good time to lay India at 2.6 I think.
-
hows this draw market so far hasnt trimmed
bold to back it at the momentedge coming
come on wickets

@richard-futter love the weather info cheers

Worth keeping an eye on the radar today. Looks like the rain may be arriving mid afternoon rather than midday, which could make a draw lay around 2.1 very attractive indeed. With the lacquer coming off the ball now, I would expect England's bowlers to get plenty of movement in helpful conditions.
If it looks like the rain might arrive earlier, then a lay of India would be the play, keeping the draw on our side.
Should be an interesting day with plenty of swings.

First time trading cricket so pleased I managed a small profit. Shows the importance of timing entry to the market. I’m looking forward to learning from everyone here
-
IND market settling from start , if went odds on be keen layer for a trade
-
Managed to green up at 2.58 - so a nice profit on day one. Draw price could well crash in tomorrow if the rain arrives around 12 as predicted. We shall see.
-
I've doubled down on the lay of the draw at 2.46. Come on Broad/Anderson.
-
England's batting has been awful, but you have to think Anderson and Broad will love bowling in these conditions, so I reckon it's worth holding on to the lay of the draw
-
Boom!
-
Draw lay finally beginning to pay dividends.
-
Also laid the draw at 2.4 on the expectation that England’s top order would fold quickly. Looks like a big session coming up need some quick wickets or even quicker runs.
-
Not too much movement despite the wicket. Probably would have made more sense to have layed England rather than the draw.

these boundaries smaller than usual? IND price blows decent when one hit
LAY some low 1.8's edge bat coming
apologies just noticed richards post

Draw shortening quite quickly, but England not really making much headway. Having a little lay at 1.86 as the hour before lunch often brings a wicket or two and, with any luck, the draw shouldn't shorten too much more in that time.
-
Just got a draw lay in at 2.10 will monitor proceedings and hopefully close out for some green after lunch and around tea Tokyo bed time. If England lose 4 by tea could well take Richards advice and lay India.
This test might fall a little into the too hard basket as I fly home Saturday night but as Richard said great to have test cricket back and should be a cracking series.
