@stuart-wallace I tend to ignore it to be honest. While it generally brings more runs it tends to bring wickets too.

@stuart-wallace I guess it depends on your trading style for T20 cricket and how the match is going.
I personally have a bit of a love hate relationship with the BBL and think the power surge and the boost are a bit naff and gimmicky.
I’d probably only look at it in 2 particular ways.
1 is the team batting first going to or heading to an above par score. If yes and the team takes it around 16 overs and are in a good position I’d be more than likely to enter. If their struggling and already 5-6 down I doubt I would bother. Same with the chasing side. Is the surge going to put them in a stronger position to win the match cause they’ve batted smart in the chase? Then probably yes I would get on them. Are they already kinda screwed and the surge could play more in favour of the side defending the target? Then I doubt I would bother.
More than likely just play it by ear match by match. -
Happy days laid Jaffna at 1.22 after their innings and have now greened up with Jaffna at 2.54
3.3 overs into the power play. Might get involved again later will wait and see.Should add I had a dreaded double click in the BBL today was able to drag back some of the damage but this makes up for that and more.

how do you guys trade the Power Surge?
Lump on the batting side? then exit after the two overs? -

@richard-futter Can't wait...3 on the draw at Centurion sounds pretty good value already
And let's not forget the other blockbuster Boxing day test when NZ take on Bangladesh
Odds aren't out yet but only one result likely here...Lumped on at 2.98 , lets see where that goes over next 3 days, can only be 1 way. Just 1 draw in last 17 Tests there.
Williamson not in NZ squad, not that that should make much difference - long term weather forecast for Auckland is reasonable, game starts on 31st -
loss here all good
xmas can p**s off bring on boxing day -
Strikers have a strong bowling unit with Rashid and Fawar, but batting is a bit weak.

Greened up with another whopping profit. Second day in row

@stuart-wallace short boundary's
mentality can only be one waywells lucky before but can bat long
few more quick boundaries sweat this market -
Only problem is Strikers batting looks a bit Short (pardon the pun) , none of the quality that Renegades had yesterday with Finch and Maddinson. Strikers currently 4.8 - might wait til end of first over to lump in.

How's everyone feeling about the two Test matches starting on Boxing Day - my favourite stage of the cricketing year?
I'm loving the lay of the draw at around 3 in Centurion. Yes, there could be a thunderstorm or two, but that is more than offset by the fact that all the last 11 Test matches have produced positive results.
South Africa look big at 3.6 to me. India have never won a series there, and the Proteas have only been beaten once at Centurion in the past 20 years.
As for Melbourne, it's hard to see England getting the win they need to have any chance of regaining the Ashes. Looks like Crawley and Bairstow will come into the team, but does anyone seriously think this will cause even a moment's concern for returning Aussie skipper Pat Cummins?
No, I certainly won't be piling on England at 6.4!
But I do feel Australia are a shade short at 1.49, because the MCG has produced some featherbed wickets in recent years. England had the better of a draw here last time out, although it would take a huge stretch of the imagination to envisage any of our current top order scoring the 244 not out that Sir Alistair Cook amassed on that occasion.
The draw is currently 5.7 and I would not be surprised to see that shorten quite quickly, especially if the home side bats first and avoids losing early wickets.
But I'll want to see a few overs, just in case there is anything in the pitch for the seamers, before moving in for the kill.
Two exciting matches in prospect here.
