yep these two gotta go on long and either stokes or buttler to carry bat with tail slog

England really need to bat most of tomorrow to be back in the game. Highest successful run chase is 329, that probs won't happen. Need to set a target of 200-250 on the last day as a carrot. See if the aussies have the minerals and go for it. For that to happen we need another 300 runs.

what price aussie if eng end up 180 ahead worst case
still long way to go
helps make a case for a aus layWas just having this conversation. If Eng knock off the deficit 3 or 4 down Aussies could be facing a tricky 4th innings chase.
The rest of this day is huge

Come on ENG
I’ll eat my words hahaha. Didn’t think they would ever get it.

The England selection committee want to prolong Anderson and broads careers by using a rotation policy. Obviously this has consequences that we might lose the test matches that they don't play.
I get it and I get that there is imagine science behind the particular Test they play in but I really think you’d be wanting to front end that policy. No point holding them back and the Series is out of grasp.

Come on a partnership get this draw under 10's ha
.., this could happen

Oops, just seen there is such a market; sadly less than £800 matched in total though.
-
What we need here is a Betfair market on whether England can survive for the rest of the day.

I don’t understand England’s decision to not play Broad. I didn’t understand it on the morning of Day 1 and I don’t understand it now.
I haven’t seen a lot of the English team of late but would have thought he’s in your best 11?
Both Anderson and Broad are certainly still in the top 11, but I guess Silverwood wanted to save them for the Adelaide Test where they could be match-winners with the pink ball under lights. Mind you, if they'd had the courage to bowl first at the Gabba they might well have been match-winners there too.

@james-woodroffe sounds like you've got an awesome job James.

Side note on the forum and possibly should have posted on my blog. But it’s kinda surreal being back on the sub continent and working on the cricket again here for the first time since 2015. Seeing mates I worked with from 2000-2015 it seems like it was yesterday. It’s cool also to be happy to make the point that Pakistan is cool as f…. still and all countries should have no hesitation touring here. It’s still a great country.
From a trading perspective I’ve happily taken a small hit here and hats off to Travis Head. It looked like game on with Oz 5 down but he’s changed the test in a session. The weather looks like it’s improved enough that Oz should take a 1-0 lead from here.

@dan-peacey one of them should have played

Yeah normally 1.1 be a sweet lay but will it really double at all ?
Would need a 40-0 start after 25 overs haCould be minimal angles from here
