My predictions/position:
If India bat for 80 overs tomorrow and score at 2.8 rpo they will set a target of 290
This gives them 10 overs at the end of day four and 90 overs on day 5 to bowl NZ out
NZ will have to score at 2.9 rpo for 100 overs to win...or bat for 100 overs to draw. This could be a tough equation for the World Champs.
- India might get skittled
**Or they might not be able to score at 2.8
250 will be more than enough me thinks
- India might get skittled

Draw lay in Kanpur again looks the right play. It’s a patience game but as Nath said should well pay dividends. It’s what makes test cricket trading so much different to white ball trading. You can be watching the match unfold and convinced it will be a draw and then days 4 and 5 behave like days 4 and 5 should do.
I’m going to ignore the remainder of Bangladesh v Pakistan as I have to travel for work tomorrow on a long haul and already have a small green from it so will just focus on India v NZ. -
Im backing the draw in the other game as it looks like that scoring is quite slow. Pak have avoided the follow on. So they could either make an attacking declaration by giving Bang the lead of say 50-100 and then try skittling them out quickly. Or they could bat long and hope that they will bat once and also hope that the pitch deteriorates enough to force a winning result.

@dan-peacey draw lay should yield a divi

IND lead 48 so I reckon if they bat steadily, they will only need to score 200 odd runs. Day 5 NZ need to chase 250, I dont fancy that. The average 4th innings score is 135.
-
Good timing to get all out
Doubt many runs till stumps
Wouldn't want to be a batter right now -
@dan-peacey would be interesting to see what target NZ get and how realistic it is time wise as we may get some juicy lay odds! I'm in on the draw lay at 2.5 at the moment, quite small though so I will hold for a while.
-
Ive decided to lay the draw in the IND v NZ game @ 3.10. Reasoning behind this is that I reckon India will get a small 1st innings lead say around 50 runs. India bat out most of day 4 and score 200, meaning that NZ will need to chase down 250 on a turning wicket. Highest successful chase being 83. Thoughts?

Holding my draw lays but only just...Looks like NZ are batting for the draw, Blundell 13 off 94
Hard to see how NZ bat through a 5th day on this pitch, just will be a case of if India declare with plenty of time left assuming they don't get bowled out quickly

how can it be a draw in IND with a ball like that
-
@dan-peacey depends on how long you plan to hold, if long term I'd look at 2% liability, if shorter term you could push to 5% knowing you aren't risking the whole stake.
-
Thinking of entering the IND V NZ.
Thinking of laying the draw now and maybe back India also?
What staking plan would you need for this strategy?
Thanks in advance

or for me if happens

Things starting to happen in Kanpur. Like Richard and Nathan holding my draw lay position. Greened up in Chittagong but yet to re enter.
-
@nathan-bennett yes a big rest of day really isn't it, kind of tempted to see how it plays out
-
It's been a sticky morning but things beginning to happen in Kanpur. Holding tight to my draw lays. The draw price in Chittagong is interesting, because it's one of those rare occasions where runs or wickets could push the price out as the market heavily favours Pakistan.
