Scalping the lay of the draw quite nice this morning, as runs or wickets push the price out.

Nathan, Perth v Melb postponed today - Covid ? Was looking forward to trade that.

Be real interesting where the state of the test is when de kock comes in and the direction of markets pending aggression or not

@stuart-wallace Definitely worth keeping an eye on the weather - any rain will see some big swings, although it looks beautiful at the moment.
Yep, i will be looking to green up at lunch, hopefully with SA either losing 3 wickets or having scored 70 runs for no los, then to come back in at 15.30

weather looks good this morning
Haysman saying possibility of rain at 13.00 and 15.00 - sounds like not enough to save SA
-
Missed final few overs lastnight due to eyes being shut .., early suspicion think can make early money LAY SA before any hint of partnerships stroke playing
Currently 12’s a little high single figures I might lay something like 8’ and get out at 25’s
Just a thought
And
Could entertain a sub 1.2 or 1.1 IND LAY for 20 30c swing -
@matt-ayles I dunno who England can even bring in to strengthen their side as I’m pretty sure the Lions have left Oz? It will be a wait and see for me as to how the weather unfolds but if England do bat first it will be almost impossible to ignore if it hangs around that price even 4’s. As for taking the foot off the pedal I don’t see that being an issue. Australia are still smarting from losing to India and as a result missing the WTC final last season so they will definitely be motivated. It just seems like it’s a strange market given what’s already transpired. I’d have to look at past results but I can’t remember the last time we had a draw in Sydney but I can remember rain days with little or no play but then again even that could have been a fair while back.

The draw lay for the 4th Ashes test is at 3.60 despite weather looking suss. I reckon that’s great value given we probably only need 200 overs for a result over 5 days…………………….sorry couldn’t help myself.
I've just been looking at this. They've set the market exactly the same as the previous test with Aus at 1.67 and the draw at 3.5
Unless the Aussies are going to stop trying now the Urn is theirs, surely thats a crazy price on them and as you say, the draw? England haven't looked like getting remotely close!

@stuart-wallace it’s an interesting one cause the weather still looks a little suspect despite the commentators talking it up earlier. If you’re happy with your profit maybe just take the green and move on. A lot of test cricket coming up.

@Stuart-Wallace glad you waited mate. I have been loving test cricket trading the last few months. Seems that there are always swings and you can always find green if you plan/research etc. As @James-Woodroffe mentioned, patience is key!

SA IND trying to tempt me back into the draw market 3.5 at the moment
Cant see anything other than a result .
SA need 211 - easy if they bat at 2.4 an over and can keep their wickets intact.
India need 6 wickets in 90? overs .Can only be a result in my eyes - weather permitting of course- and thats the big question.
What does everyone else think?

Once again the draw lay patience game pays off. As for the weather tomorrow they were saying earlier it probably won’t arrive till late evening if at all.
A couple of quick wickets for India would be lovely but over 300 51 overs today and improved weather outlook for tomorrow.Brilliant, thanks James. Yep, at one point i was tempted by taking my loss, but thanks to you guys for advising otherwise.
Great news re the weather too. -
