@tom-david-1 Pant is playing the sort of innings England have been looking for from Joss Buttler; sadly he's come up short.

Buttler has flattered to deceive for so long now in Tests that patience should finally have run out. Hoping that Billings makes an impact at Hobart, he will likely be a much better option, with all aspects of his game, and also his galvanising attitude behind the stumps

@richard-futter just switched over now the Melbourne clash is essentially over, back to back 6s for Pant, have to fancy a 250 lead for India here now.

@stuart-wallace How did you manage to lose on the West Ham - Norwich game? Surely a home banker!

Changing focus to AUS v ENG a little, there is a little bit of rain forecast on days 1 and 2 - however, day 1 rain looks like late afternoon/evening, and less than 50% chance of rain on day 2 - but then realised its a day/nighter ! - just be aware of that guys.
LTD is currently at 5 - as its pink ball, which might suit both bowling sides, and a bit more English type conditions, i would expect a result by end of day 4.
Last 7 games have all had results, with the last match there AUS bowled out for 85 in first innings, with Philander taking 5 - so may be a wicket suiting Jimmy (if selected , of course)

Must admit, i trade the BBL, made quite a bit of profit this morning , covered my loss last night in West Ham v Norwich game.
enjoying quite a big green on SA v IND at moment.

India are looking very layable, you’d have to fancy Elgar to put up a fight in second innings, 200 lead seems a long way off for India

this didn't age very well 😂

Not been watching the test this morning but seems like Pant is either very lucky or a magician with 51 off 60

I got in after Joe Clarkes 6, a bit of over confidence normally leads to a wicket, I wasn't expecting 2 but i'll take it 😂
