Pitch looks green and apparently it's quite humid, so should be some movement for the England seamers. Worth a small back of Root's boys at 6 I reckon.
last time Aus batted first at Hobart they were all out for 85.

As expected, Eng team is...
1 Rory Burns, 2 Zak Crawley, 3 Dawid Malan, 4 Joe Root (capt), 5 Ben Stokes, 6 Ollie Pope, 7 Sam Billings (wk), 8 Chris Woakes, 9 Ollie Robinson, 10 Mark Wood, 11 Stuart Broad -
Eng win toss and will bowl
-
If aus bat first
Might back to lay the draw market -
Couldn’t decide between trading the BBL game this evening or Ashes in the morning so decided to pull an all nighter. Waste of time as Scorchers had a shocker and next to no trading opportunities.
Interested to see who bats first and if the draw price comes in any
More coffee please!

Pope averaged almost 80 in the county championship last year in 9 tests... if Bairstow is fit I'd open with those 2. Malan and Root can come in next and plod along as they do.
Then bring in Crawley when there's alot less pressure, Stokes at 6 if he's fit, alternatively Woakes can bat a bit... then use Bess instead of Leach, with Wood/Broad/Jimmy as your pacers. -

@stuart-wallace Surely Burns has had enough chances to prove he is completely out of his depth at test level
You could probably point that at most of the top 6 tbh.

@chris-osborne Averaging 30 opening the innings isn't great, but who is better at the moment?

Amazing, Windies are 111-7 , but still odds-on to win.
Odean Smith batting at 10, comes in and smacks a 19 ball 46. Caught on point boundary, would have equalled Chris Gayles 19 ball 50 as fastest Windies half century in ODIs.
Windies now big odds on even though they have just crept over 200 with 9 down. -

Looking like a stroll for SA at the moment.
Petersen looks like a damn fine player for someone with a Test Average of 14 before this series.

How the hell is that going over the top???
Think DRS needs to be re-calibrated. -
Anybody else think SA bowlers have got more out of this wicket than Indians ?
And also how many edges have dropped just short of slips- just take one step up !!! -

Layed SA at 2.02 - figure they may lose 2 early wickets
I agree, this looks such a tough pitch, and the average 4th innings is only 161 at Cape anyway...
