Anybody else think SA bowlers have got more out of this wicket than Indians ?
And also how many edges have dropped just short of slips- just take one step up !!! -

Layed SA at 2.02 - figure they may lose 2 early wickets
I agree, this looks such a tough pitch, and the average 4th innings is only 161 at Cape anyway...

Can Pant not work two's be so smart fielders out
I've had a LAY IND 2.2 be nicehacked me
That was a nice swing
-
Get in there!
-
Fantastic batting by Pant - bit of a slogger, but has got away with it this innings.
-
Dont understand why they are not bowling Rabada.
-
next 30 mins decides test
-
Anyone been to Newlands? - they say its the most beautiful cricket ground in the world, but what they dont show is the big stinking brewery on one side of the ground.!.
Plus they have 2 ticket prices , one for locals, one for tourists - i managed to get tickets for equiv of 5 pounds each when ENG played there last time.
Which reminds me, when the Football World Cup was on in 2010, my son got some tickets (at locals price) at the official FIFA shop in Cape Town for the England v Slovenia game in Port Elizabeth (now renamed Gqeberha), only to get there and in the ground only to find they were for non-existent seats ! -

I'm not discounting the draw at the Bellerive Oval. There could be a couple of evenings of rain and, by all accounts, the Test match has cost Hobart an awful lot of money and they'll desperate for it to go the full five days. So it should be a batting friendly pitch.
Could be worth keeping our powder dry until the lights come on, which will be pretty late in Tasmania.
Is it 4am start UK time?
Yes indeed. Rather more civilised.
-
52 overs bowled. Expect a short 4/5 over burst from Rabada soon ?
-
Layed IND at 1.45

@stuart-wallace How did you manage to lose on the West Ham - Norwich game? Surely a home banker!
Yep, did Lay U1.5 and lost my bottle at 74 mins ! Doh !

@tom-david-1 Pant is playing the sort of innings England have been looking for from Joss Buttler; sadly he's come up short.
Buttler has flattered to deceive for so long now in Tests that patience should finally have run out. Hoping that Billings makes an impact at Hobart, he will likely be a much better option, with all aspects of his game, and also his galvanising attitude behind the stumps

reckon good scalping chances on runs here
lay to back sa -
There goes Kohli!
-
got i wanted this INNS
classic catch that
he be mad bet was trying to bat to end

@richard-futter just switched over now the Melbourne clash is essentially over, back to back 6s for Pant, have to fancy a 250 lead for India here now.
