And Butler's wicket keeping is definitely worse than mine used to be
-
Leach bowls how I used to! Laughable.
-
Hope I'm wrong, but I can't see anything other than an Aussie win here, especially with Stokes injured again. Just can't see England scoring enough to set anything remotely testing in the final innings.
-
Outstanding this
Missed a trick
just got home
had on my mind lay eng back em 40's style
All good
Hope ENG get these last 4 quick -
Bit of rain on the radar too. Not huge amounts but it's there.
-
@richard-futter yeh I was thinking that too, I've been watching the draw market. Thought 2 wickets in an over and pushing closer to the tail would atleast see 2 ticks haha. Moved a touch now.

@james-woodroffe market has not moved. How lol??
The draw and England prices have moved quite a bit, while not much change in the Aussie price. Punters feel the tourists will be bowled out cheaply again, I reckon. Can't rule it out!
-
@andy I just saw that massive bias game on now. How good is test cricket.

@james-woodroffe market has not moved. How lol??

Hello.
-
@james-woodroffe marnus and Smith out is huge. Agree 100% on the collapse and Travis head. I've laid the short hoping for a few more wickets or covers.
-
@andy donβt go thinking Australia are home and hosed here. We are more than capable of collapsing just like England did. Oz are exactly where I thought England could drag themselves back with Smith now gone and Head far from a settled part of this XI. I think the final session is going to be riveting.
1.13 for Oz still. Really??
-
@james-woodroffe I was thinking about the short lay. Looks like aus will bat once to win this at the moment so I'm not sure. Praying for rain.
-
Still some ? over this Aussie batting line up but Mums Lasagne looking pretty good will be more interested to see how the Head, Green, Carey middle order goes should England break this partnership and somehow get Smith cheap. Did lay us at 1.23 and felt a little grubby doing it but in typical Queensland fashion the sun is beating down. That could change so another very low odds on lay of Oz could be a possibility. In the meantime feet up chill out and see what transpires. Happy to let this lay run for a fair while yet.
-
@richard-futter Ha, I'm not saying Aus won't win. Just looking for that price move! Early wicket already. Another couple of early ones would be nice for a quick trade
-
@lee-conroy I'm loving your confidence, although the last time England fought back from this position to win an Ashes match, W.G.Grace was the captain!
-
@matt-ayles Good value on laying Aus @1.21. 2/3 wickets in the first session and that price is going to move! Really fancy Woakes to swing the ball on that wicket and woods to bounce a couple out!
-
Im still very surprised that we batted first. However I wouldnt fancy batting last on this wicket. Spinners paradise last 2 days probably. Hoping for loads of clouds tomorrow so hopefully favour some swing bowling, shame Jimmy and Stuart are not playing. From a trading perspective Im hoping Australia bat long and slow and that Smith has a good innings, might make the draw easier to lay. Failing that Im hoping the weather intervenes enough to make the draw price steam in. Off work tomorrow so I might stay up and watch.
-
@dan-peacey forecasts seem patchy so it could be a very stop-start test which favours the bowlers as batsmen can't get settled.
I had laid the draw and already greened up but I feel the price on Aus is too short given that Eng haven't had a ball yet. Seems a bit presumptive... -
Now attention switches to brisbane, can England bowl as well as the aussies? I fancy AUS to probs take out a 250-300 lead and bat once. Hopefully that doesn't happen and hoping that weather may further affect proceedings. I won't enter just yet, need to see how AUS bat on this pitch, can we get Smith out cheaply?
