Big Red for me on BAN NZ - guilty of placing a large back on NZ when BAN started their innings, and then going to bed ! Another schoolboy error - at least i am making these errors at the beginning of my journey and not when i am doing serious money . Managed to recover 30 per cent of the Red by getting a good price on LTD on day 4. These type of results (big underdog winning) come along maybe once a year, so, can put this behind me, and look towards a NZ win in next Test, and try to recover some of my losses.
However, in SA/IND test i have have a small Green - the same with ENG/AUS.
One of the things i noticed in the ENG/AUS game is that ENG got as high as 45 at one point, and then quickly down to 15 once a wicket fell - thats a huge drop. Huge opportunity at that point, as surely it couldnt have drifted much further. -

going to look back at this test and shake head
two easy angles to of made 80% on both trades but missed first boat ha
LAY DRAW u3.00
LAY SA odds onall good
Same for me really, think so much cricket on missed the obvious on this one.
Still time for plenty more opportunities, I’m out for now as anymore wickets and games totally changed
-
I also remember thinking SA did well / lucky somewhat to get there first INNS score
this could end up a cliff hanger

I removed some of mine when it was high 5s so happy to let it run with a big cushion of green, can’t see SA below evens
-
still on SA LAY but reduced
not much trust bat
but with ball IND yes -
I had to green up when Pujara fell. I can’t really concentrate at the moment so whilst things were better with Pujara and Rahane at the crease I’m going to leave things till I’m done for the night. Greened up with what I was being offered at start of play so no harm done.

GAME ON

That last wicket is exactly how Shami gets a 5 for ha
wtf

Average 4th innings score at Joburg is 206, although things to consider is we're only on day 3!
I think if India can get to 250-300 ahead, they win. Anything under 250 and we have a game on regardless what the market suggests.

SA fight back is on
-
Think a wicket was due, they have both batter well hopefully Vihari is able to keep Pujara on point. Bigger picture is looking good for India.
Great to share ideas on here, nice to have your thoughts validated, gives you more confidence and opens up other ideas

I’m loving how alive the cricket thread has become in recent times. It’s great to all be bouncing off one another.
Loving this from India at the moment also. All though as I type this Rahane falls. -
@tom-david-1 yep partnerships are huge in second INNS in particular to make markets s**t themselves and move fast
-
You have to wonder if India can keep this up if the draw price could come back into the equation at some point.
-
@nathan-bennett I was just thinking this could quickly run the 6 I was aiming for. These two seem set at the moment and bigger picture looks like a 250+ total
-
So much Test cricket at the moment. It’s like the second coming of Christmas.
The NZ/Bang Test was a great result for me and the most pleasing aspect was it was via solid trading decisions.
I’m in a great position with SA/Ind albeit missed a further entry point I wanted but holding for now.
Ashes I’ve got small liability on the draw. Not going crazy but happy to let this play out. Today was definitely bonus overs I didn’t expect them to get in.
Thanks for all the knowledge sharing folks. It’s making a difference in the way I’m trading Test cricket.

Not greedy but now would love 15’s SA green up
250 could be plenty overall
Keep partnerships flowing be nice -
@james-woodroffe we never do mate!
Not a bad 1st day really, like Richard said a lot more play than the forecast suggested so hopefully that continues. England will be relatively pleased with progress so far as well so looking forward to tonight.
SA price has drifted out lovely this morning, both Puraja and Rahane are batting well and should hold their spots from this, particularly impressed with Puraja.

Well, far more play than the forecasts suggested on day one, which bodes very well for us draw layers. There have been several draws at the SCG in recent years, but it would still surprise me if the price didn't go considerably higher at some stage of this match.
