@tom-david-1 i've got a small Lay on WI at 3.6 i think, as usual, expecting some early wickets.
In the BPL game Chatannooga v Comilla, the 19th over went 1-6-W-6-6-W
Well, theres one in first over !

@matt-ayles shame, I was hoping to lay West Indies on the chase, probably sit out on this one
-
India bowl first
-
Moeen has bowled 2 overs, been hit for 1 scoring shot in those 2, and taken 3 wickets !
-
I'm now out for a very decent green. Many thanks for the heads up.
-
Challengers are 44-4 off 6.3.
Stats say that any side with 3 wickets down in power play have a 20 per cent chance of winning.
Gonna let my Lay run for a while. -
@stuart-wallace good call
-
Moeen just bowled a double wicket maiden, bringing me into a healthy green.
-
@nathan-bennett Nice one Nathan.
-
Kiwi's love producing a green wicket to start
Batting can def get easy days 2-3
so many angles no doubt
I'm sure we'll do our best to kill itI'm same as most low draw lays eye on
Two decent squads like this always a eye on a deep in the red fav to lay first INNS as more often than not that price will be there in the final INNS worst caseTESTS ARE BACK HOW GOOD
until tmr

Challengers v Victorians in BPL at 11.30
Victorians have a very strong line up including Faf, Moeen and Narine, and are priced accordingly.
Victorians to bowl first .
I have had a small Lay on Challengers at 2.9 expecting early wickets. -
Team news for NZ v SA
Williamson still sidelined... Boult is out also on paternity i believe.
Petersen (who impressed me v IND) is out for series , victim of the C word. Sarel Erwee comes in as replacement.
Nortje still out."Expect pace and bounce on green tops for this series with very little in it for the spinners. That's the view of van der Dussen, who called the Hagley Oval surfaces similar to the ones at the Lincoln University, where South Africa have been training. "The wickets look very green and very grassy but the surface underneath is quite hard so it makes it quite consistent in terms of bounce and pace,"

Worth a read after the IPL auction.

New Zealand v South Africa
Pleased to see a return of test cricket although the time frame on this one means some night shifts so i’ll be hoping for a result within 4 days.
There isn’t a great sample size of test matches here as the ground was only given international status in 2013, of the 9 matches that have been played here only 1 of these has been a draw, matching this with the pretty average batting the play here surely has to be laying the draw.
Weather wise we have a pretty clear 5 days with varying threats of rain on day 4 depending on which forecasts you look at these are either on the previous night or at the start of play but I can’t see us losing any more than 2 sessions of play which is plenty of time for a result.
Bets
Will be waiting to see who wins the toss, i’d like to see the draw price trading below 4 before entering, i’ll likely green this lay up at 10+ on day one.
I expect both teams to have high swings so if there are early wickets I will also lay the bowling team under 1.4 New Zealand or 1.8 South Africa.
Will keep a very close eye on the weather as we get towards day 4 and may back the draw if the weather is poor enough to wipe out a session of play, i’ll then look to lay the draw again should a result look likely.

@tom-david-1 Eat your heart out - im on Level 42 !!!!!
Hahaha! Must be “something about you”

in the IND V WI T20 tomorrow, Kolkata has historically been a lower scoring venue. Might see if there is a wicket or 2 if IND bat, else if WI bat first i will lay them immediately

@stuart-wallace i was hoping for a big opening partnership by either team to shorten the draw odds as it's a bit high for my liking... but we will see.
Got the T20I tomorrow to enjoy first.

for me anything below 5 is acceptable, given a good weather forecast, and a good history.

@matt-ayles whats the game, Matt?
ah ok, NZ v SA.
Weather looks a bit dodg on day 4, but likely they will get 4.5 days in tbh - enough to make a result methinks.
NZ will have the edge - i just dont think SA batting has enough depth at the moment to cause a problem.Out of 10 Tests at Hagley Oval, 9 have been results. The only exception was England in 2017/18, where NZ hung on with 8 wickets down in a game dominated by the seamers.
Weather looks decent though not without some doubt on Day 4.
TBH , i'm likely to go all in before the start on LTD and then look to maybe cash out once a couple of likely early wickets (especially if SA bat) and then maybe just look to cream up circa day 3 once the result seems more obvious.
