watched the first 20 mins and clearly no demons in pitch.
i am wondering if there might be a case for backing the draw should there be no wickets taken in first session. SA will only declare with a 400+ lead after tea should they get to it.
Interesting situation.edit...clearly others thinking the same as draw has come in to 12 from 20 at start of play

Definitely laying SA start today
Would like mid 3’s before assessing
 And a re lay 1.5’s
Nz series lead what ever they’re chasing like to think apply themselves better
Surely some fast moving markets and swings coming up

Neither of these SA batsmen fill me with huge confidence... 2 full days to go. Think if SA can get near to a 300 lead they'll be happy. I'll then have to crack out the record books to see what kind of 4th innings target is getable.

Only just got back into some small green last night after a good batting from NZ. Sadly that ruined the SA trade for the first 12 over in 1st inngs. I have no idea how this will play out. And not sure I'll get to watch any coverage tonight so might just see of anything comes to play.

Whats everyones view on NZ v SA game?
Draw now sitting at 20, so thats out of the question, unless you want to have a large liability.
Think NZ are a bit skinny at 2.4.
One word of warning though is that the Christchurch pitch tends to not deteriorate as Test goes on - so, hanging on for a draw might be a possibility should SA score enough to put NZ in to bat after tea today. However, historically, this venue produces a result 90% of time.

Flip soon
 Drip lay SA 1.8 ish

Same as you Nathan, small drip lays on NZ and a big draw lay, maybe starting at 3, got real feel we could see super low draw odds in this one at some stage
-

Draw potential low again for a round two hit
Nz also odds on could drip lay for a target swing

@stuart-wallace that's what i thought. Got my wwc antepost trades matched so will wait for the main event.

@tom-david-1 well done Tom.
I saw the score when IND were 5 overs in, and also saw the opening partnership of SL and thought you would have mullered the market.

NZ should close down on this lead on day 3, would fancy them to get within 50? If they do everything is shaping up for the perfect day 5 massive swing trade

Perfect game to trade Laid India at 1.10 Laid Sri Lanka at 2.4 SL odds on again in the chase, did SL backers not learn after Aus?

@luke-weston Same here, i dont like leaving open bets and going to bed , like you, i have been caught out by this before (NZ v BAN first test).
I havnt watched any of the game , is it a green wicket? 3rd day at Hagley tends to be best day for batting. 2.72 does seem a bit generous for a side still 200 behind, a couple of early wickets will knock the stuffing out of 2.72 thats for sure.
Def Lay NZ, big wins if they lose early wickets, small losses if they dont.

cashed out a small green on LTD before I went to bed last night. I don't like leaving trades running when I can't do anything about them, have been caught out like that before! Looking at NZ odds now, and 2.72 seems very generous considering they are still over 200 runs behind. A rapid spell from Rabada could finish them off. Having said that, they do have a strong tail capable of knocking off a deficit in quick time. I'm thinking a back of SA at evens for some early wickets and letting it run if they get them.
