Early wicket but no real movement on England price...

Amazing how much the Windies price has drifted in the last 15 minutes since the toss; quite fancy a back of them at around 4.8, knowing how brittle the England top order can be.
Certainly wouldn't want to be backing England at evens, and the draw looks short too - although there have been five draws in ten matches at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, so laying the draw might not be so straightforward as it often is.
Mind you, hopefully it won't be such a ridiculous batting paradise as we saw in Pakistan - definitely a place for draw backers rather than layers.
....... didn't take long

@chris-osborne more so now with Shane Warne not about for the summer, always loved his commentary. As for Bumble, I LOVED it when he was in the box, hardly ever spoke about the match just random musings you are spot on, pretty stale looking!
-
@andrew-macdonald Sky need to get him back or do something drastic with Lloyd and Holding retiring that commentary box will have zero personality between them
-
@richard-futter ah that makes sense. I was so shocked to hear his commentary for the ashes, thought I was hearing things at 3am all bleary eyed, then I read a bit more about his dumping, harsh!!! Place in the sun for him though!

Do BT sport have all the England test matches now? Or is it just the away tests? Sky won't pay the air fares
Sky still has the rights to home Test matches for another two years at least. Normally, it's up to TV companies to come to deals with the home nation when it comes to series away from home; guess BT just came up with the better offer, which is great news for David Gower, who was unceremoniously dumped by Sky last year.

LTD price has come down to 4 in last 30 mins.
Is i tlikely to rebound up a little or continue slide?I've jumped in on the Back side , Lots of liquidity on Lay side so unlikely to go upwards, and not much on Back side, so Order Flow dictates the slide might continue. Now down to 3.9

@stuart-wallace I think even the commentators are looking to the next test based on todays commentary, hopefully more wickets in the next test.

At least the 2nd Test is being played at different venue..... Karachi, which has had 9 results in last 10 matches played (discounting the 2 that were cancelled). However, there has only been 2 matches in last 12 years, both of which were predominantly dominated by spinners, but in playing SL in 2nd innings all top 4 batsmen got centuries when totalling 555-3 !
-
@matt-ayles PAK wont give them a sniff of a chance of winning over such a short period, unless Hanse Cronje is exhumed!

Anyone got Babar's number to declare in a few overs ha
No opinion ENG WI but looking forward to some big swings
If they declare do you think there's a chance of a miracle and Aus enter T20 mode to try to chase it down? Or will they do what England would do and defend

I'm assuming fans are being allowed in , so therefore presumably it will be a predominantly English crowd.

Having read the previews for the match, everyone seems to be sitting on the fence. England have a terrible record in WI and have been poor for a while (so lay Eng). However WI are a poor test side with no top order (so lay WI)... and Antigua is renowned for being an easy batting surface so back a big 1st innings score (contradictory right?).
Basically nobody knows!
Made a big error entering the LTD market in the Pak v Aus game pre match so i think I'll wait and see...
Yep, me too re big red in PAK v AUS market LTD market, i have learnt my lesson in not trading at least before the toss, and certainly not on games where i am asleep for most of the game.
So, for WI v ENG, i am going to wait until the toss and then Lay the batting team, as both batting sides seem brittle, in expectation of 2/3 wickets before lunch.
