Gutted to wake up to this news this morning. We’ve lost two genuine legends of Australian cricket within 48 hours. I was sad to hear the news of Rod Marsh yesterday and absolutely floored by Warnie’s passing.

One thing i would like to say about Warney.... I always wanted to 'bump' into him...in a airport, or book signing, or at a cricket ground, and just stop him and say to him ' Warney, i hate you, but you are the best i have ever seen..... and then shake his hand' .... i wont be able to do that now.
As a cricket fan, i am very sad tonight. -

Gobsmacked and shocked.
At the time when he was playing i grudgingly hated him (especially when he was playing England), but grew to acknowledge him as the greatest bowler i have ever seen live and a very astute captain and commentator- someone who you knew would give you fantastic insight and ideas.
RIP Shane - you will be hugely missed by the cricketing family. -
