I had removed liability on England lay early, but am wondering what the next move is... I'm thinking about LTD as it's already in from 6ish to 4s, but it's knowing when is the right time. Stokes and Bairstow could bat for the whole session, they have the quality.
Yep, same here. I have taken my green and sitting waiting for next major event. Believe Stokes and Bairstow could put together a good partnership as they are probably the 2nd and 3rd best batsmen in England team. One of those points for me of sitting and waiting and trying to not to do one of those major trading issues i have which is over trading, and feeling i should be trading at all times.

@chris-davies Think the market is factoring in the feeling that, even if England are bowled out cheaply, there's every chance the Windies will collapse too. Don't entirely agree with that view but - unless England fall apart completely - I think their price will only drift in a major fashion if the Windies pile on runs early in their innings.
-
Think the next wicket is key, if it goes before 80 odd runs, then we will see big movement in price.

Still cannot believe the price England are, is it just me who thinks this is a lay? I have been laying since 1.92, all the way up to 2.26
Yep, 51-4 yet still favourites - crazy. @Richard-Futter any thoughts?

@richard-futter hahaha that's true, predictability helps!! Is there a reason England haven't drifted more? I enjoy watching cricket but my cricket trading is limited, and that's me being generous!
-
@andrew-macdonald All too familiar, sadly. Good for trading though!
-
@richard-futter I've just arrived at the school to pick up the wee one and Roots gone!? Horrendous start!
-
Oh dear oh dear oh dear... some things never change!
-
cant believe that ENG are 27-3 and still favourites !!

Amazing how much the Windies price has drifted in the last 15 minutes since the toss; quite fancy a back of them at around 4.8, knowing how brittle the England top order can be.
Certainly wouldn't want to be backing England at evens, and the draw looks short too - although there have been five draws in ten matches at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, so laying the draw might not be so straightforward as it often is.
Mind you, hopefully it won't be such a ridiculous batting paradise as we saw in Pakistan - definitely a place for draw backers rather than layers.
I've only just switched this on as was stuck in traffic but perfect insight there, lovely trade, shame I missed it.
Will probably lay England at low odds now

@richard-futter tbh, Gower,Holding,Botham and LLoyd were well past their sell by date - and also (Lloyd apart) not very good - imo.
Ageist... totally disagree - apart from Botham!
I suppose its one of those situations where we agree to disagree ! Its not ageist - otherwise i wouldnt pick LLoyd as one i liked ! The comment 'well past their sell by date' was mainly aimed at their pundit style - they spent too much time reminiscing and talking about their time in the game as opposed to the new style of (preferred) added insight, which the likes of Key,Warne (RIP) and Ward provide. I dont want to hear about what happened in 1981 - give me some insight to the game going on .
-
@stuart-wallace Backing the Windies was always going to be the better trade; with the draw price and England price drifting with wickets, the downward trend of the West Indies price was bound to be much bigger.

Yep, I'm gonna hold my position for now.

Early wicket but no real movement on England price...
There we go. 2 down. 1 more (especially if its Root) and it will go north big time.
