Pretty healthy total posted by Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka still odds on, can’t see that being an easy chase. If you turn the Betfair live feed on make sure you turn the volume down as the feedback is horrendous.
No entry from me yet but hopeful I’ll get a decent trade in this match.

Can we just have one innings where we don't collapse please serious questions have to be asked about this pathetic and embarrassing series
but it presented us an easy opportunity odds on to lay and not chased 200 in Aus is 60 years!

Ok, i thought, to cheer myself up, its ENG v BAN in the U19 World Cup today, so i can sit back, have a glass of wine, have a trade on ENG for once and see them beat BAN comfortably.
Then i checked the H2H, and saw that BAN have won the last 5 at this level ! - doesnt that say something !?Oh well, at least i can cheer myself up by looking at my Betfair balance after the Test. Must admit i did lump in on the last 2 days for laying ENG ( i know, i know i shouldnt be doing that), and ended up with win of approx 50pts in the end - must admit was getting a bit twitchy when Burns and Crawley were going well !)
Must admit, after seeing the H2H, BAN look good at 2.9, with ENG at 1.5 !!!

Yes, well done AUS.
And well done AUS for getting rid of Djokovic - arrogant f*****, if he had any class he would have left of his own accord as soon as he saw there would likely be a problem. -

Never seen such a lack of fight from the lower order. They literally threw in the towel. Woeful doesn't begin to cover it.
Its been a tough tour, ok , i seem to say that after every Ashes tour down-under, but this was very different in respect of the Bubble the players seem to have been under for 2 years (seemed to show on Joe Roots face towards end), and very few fans (shows it makes a difference when SA can beat IND ),but ultimately has highlighted the many, many problems that lie in English cricket, with a lot of those being at non-playing level.
Lets hope that many things are learnt from this tour, with changes made at domestic level, amongst which will be (hopefully)....
- Silverwood removed. Get back to a panel of people selecting the team (Atherton put it well by saying..'how can you have the coach ring up a player and tell him he's not playing?!')
- Root removed from his captaincy (got a feeling he may well jump ship anyway). I have always had a problem with him as captain.
- Prepare well for Ashes series - maybe take a shadow team (Lions) out to OZ and get them to play a state team whilst the Tests are going on. And have at least 2 weeks in Oz preparing before the first test (thats what the 2011 team did)
- Shake up the Domestic leagues , and have more meaningful games played by the Test players in 4 day games throughout the season (ECB to dictate the conditions, after all, the ECB is paying these guys their huge contracts).
- Prepare better pitches, maybe have all groundstaff employed by the ECB instead of the counties, and the ECB dictate what type of wicket to be prepared.
- Finally, the people at the top (Harrison for example) to stand up and be counted and be put in the spotlight.
However, we all know that virtually nothing of the above will happen, and that it will all be brushed under the carpet again.
TBH, I love cricket, and i love all cricket formats, but the constant lack of fight by England in red ball is getting right on my tits, and i am considering just not watching or having any interest in Tests , other than to make money.
Rant over.

Michael Vaughan pretty scathing of the performance on the commentary here in Australia

I was thinking this. Did the backroom staff tell them to just give their wickets away?
-
So glad that’s over, weeks of torture and missed opportunities in other games for a relatively small green, not to mention the serious lack of sleep
-
They should be deported along with Djokovic!

How England traded odds on is beyond me. The series so far has suggested this collapse would come.

Laying England at 6.6 was irresistible, at this stage I really can't see anything other than am Aussie win, unless we get some serious weather I can't imagine there being any real swings to speak of.
With a lead of 152 England would have to skittle Aus for under 150 to stand a chance, Australia will have good batting conditions tomorrow and then England should be back in under the lights and a couple of wickets down before end of day.
I have to admit this morning when England were trading around 1.7 this was difficult to hold, now it’s difficult to accept that I didn’t add more to it
Escaped with a decent green but a badly traded test for me, high emotions and misplaced hope.
