Yesterdays game was a thriller, loads of incorrect pricing all the way through the game, DC traded over evens at a point of run a ball!
Pretty stressful stuff but rewarding for the brave, todays should be a fantastic game

Re: Kirsten that is just terrible. I was never a big fan of him anyway but that seals the deal for me.
Safe to say I’m sure you didn’t buy his book after that!

How on earth have GT won that?! I locked in the green ages ago and just assumed with 3 overs to go that SRH had it in the bag so switched off silly me.
Why doesn't Bhuvi not bowl the last?
IPL is crazy! Walked away with a profit but traded that game a little poorly, was difficult to read. The pitch at Wankhede has been a tricky one

Gary Kirsten about to be installed as England coach.
A little personal anecdote i have re Gary Kirsten....
Some 15 years ago, when i was living in Cape Town, my son , who would have been about 8 at that time, and I were going shopping in the local big supermarket at Constantia. When we got to the doors we noticed there was a booksigning that day by....Gary Kirsten....so, my son, being a cricket nut like me wanted to get his autograph - especially as he had his SA top at the time (used to wear his England top when England were playing there !). So, we joined the small queue, and eventually some 10 mins later got to the front of the Q and asked Gary if he could sign my sons shirt. 'Are you buying my book' was the reply, to which i replied 'not at this time, but maybe later'..... 'ok, you're not buying my book, so i'm not signing HIS shirt'. This sorta gobsmacked me, and after a bit of friendly (from my side) banter, which turned into bordering aggression from Kirsten, my son and i left, shirt unsigned. You can probably understand where i'm coming from, when i say i dont want Kirsten as England coach - the guy came over as arrogant, aggressive, having zero people management skills and the empathy of Putin. Maybe these attributes might make him a good coach.

@tom-david-1 I have 2 strategies....1) Lay any team ChrisJordan is about to bowl for. 2) Back Rashid Khan team when over 7 comes.

@kevin-gedny hi mate, the swings are quite severe sometimes so it can make trading quite emotionally charged, I often say that I’ve experienced every emotion during a game I’ve traded.
If you’ve been watching cricket for that amount of time I think you could get into a good rhythm with it.
Try to think of things a little differently, the swings are big enough that you only need to take small views on the game, the main thing I look out for is laying low prices.
If team A gets 170 runs and are trading at 1.4 how likely is it that team B will just fold without ever looking like they are going to get there and therefore pushing team A’s price out, I’m essentially looking for a time where momentum may change, this can be a certain bowler, a certain batter and a certain point in the game where they have to pick up run rate, all things that just come with time watching the shorter format.
Unfortunately there’s no set strategy in my mind that will work long term, you have to make an opinion on the price and the state of the game but that’s just me, someone else might have a different way that you might prefer.
-
@kevin-gedny Yep, me too, almost given up trying to trade IPL, too many swings for my liking in too short a time frame. Might be perfect for some, but find it to be a minefield.
-
@tom-david-1 Must admit, that despite watching cricket for nearly 50 years, I am struggling to come up with a consistent strategy for T20/IPL. I have tried backing bowling team during Powerplay and more often than not end up the wrong side of things.

Perfect game today with market not realising the pitch is difficult to bat on, RCB traded as low as 1.13 before firing out to evens
-
@nathan-bennett yeah i jumped in again at 1.10, that was the real trade in the game so nice work
todays should be a cracker, Jos is in such good form, developing a soft spot for RR
-
nice work , was betting off phone didnt see posts all good
got on the PBKS lay 1.1 squared up 1.4-5's
decent -
They got closer than I thought, market never pushed past 1.7 but happy to take profit there, unreasonable to expect Dhoni to keep pulling off these final over thrillers
-
Lovely stuff from CSK, they really are composed to keep cool in these chases
-
Higher score than I expected there but the outfield is looking a little quicker now, I think CSK could get close so i'm happy to lay at 1.4
-
Afternoon all, PBKS playing with a little more restraint today, should be set up for a nice game, maybe another Dhoni last over special is on the cards.
Same pitch as yesterday and would expect a similar score around 168 but depends how middle order play, they could push for more.
Caught a trade on 6 & 10 over line but will probably wait now until 2nd innings, how is everyone fairing with the IPL so far?
Personally I am missing international cricket but I do like the timeframe for IPL, much easier for family etc.
-
Back in the UK this afternoon, and welcomed back by the short price favs all out for what must be close to an IPL record low? Was a nice lay spot.

RCB gamble backed over 87.5 runs
