AUS SRI
AUS have had a LAY 1.17 -
@stuart-wallace Andrew McDonald interim coach. Was assistant to Langer and prior to that Victorian domestic coach (Vic's dominated) and won a BBL with renegades. He's a good coach.
-
@nathan-bennett Hmmm, yes, AUS already looking a good price to lay at 1.18. A couple of early wickets would send that right out.
Warner and Marsh have both been rested for the series, with inexperienced McDermott to open, and Inglis at 3.
Sydney is also known to be a spinners pitch so.....
If AUS bat, then i will def be looking to lay, hoping for a couple of quick wickets from the rookies. Then SL to slow it down with Hasaranga spin from over 6.
Also, AUS dont have coach at moment? -
AUS SRI SPs already very interesting to me
Good luck to anyone lumping AUS now you can have that price ha
I like the dogs generally game ones of a series to make a earn at some point
Soon as toss team news etc and market reactions settle can see me having a lay and again at half the SP -
@tom-david-1 love this

Done well following this thread in the last few days so thank you all. Keep the info and advice coming today, got a free day to myself to attack Betfair.

Tomorrow is a really busy day but itโs actually fairly well spaced for trading, especially if youโre like me and prefer to do everything second innings.
Australia v Sri Lanka T20 starts around 8am and then by the time thatโs wrapped up we will be able to get onto the second innings of the 3rd ODI in Ahmedabad which should be wrapped up in time for the 2nd innings of the PSL game.

@matt-ayles well done that's great discipline!
Thank you although I must return the credit to the good folks on the thread here. I have been speaking to several of the more experienced cricket traders about what to do with the shorter format matches and this concept came from them.
Quickly in and out of the market when you expect a partnership or a wicket/pressure (amazing you can get 10-15 ticks if an over has very few runs in it, just due to the required run rate increasing).

Nice work Matt
I've had a break from trading since the BBL finished, intended to trade the first ODI but was too one sided so just watched it, great start back today and looking forward to Fridays game, although it's a very busy day for cricket!
7 day coutdown to NZvRSA test has begun too, Mrs needs to self isolate before an op so I have very kindly offered to do it with her so I can stay up all night

@matt-ayles well done mate. Yes, Cricket trading i find very diff to Football , where you will rely more heavily on stats, whereas with Cricket its more knowledge and understanding of the game.
MY IND lay at 1.05 , i bottled out at 1.1 and took my profit - could have been more, but happy with the few extra quid it gave me. I knew Smith could hit a long ball, and traded purely on that fact.
-
So a nice little learning session there. I entered the market 3 times, backing India, and queued up an equal stakes lay somewhere between 10-15 ticks lower each time. All 3 were matched within 5-10 minutes which was good. All small stakes, max liability of 1 point etc.
Interesting piece was the mentality of ignoring the green/red numbers but treating each one as a new trade.
Eventually greened up both sides for 0.45 points which i am very pleased with when learning a new staking strategy.

Got a sneaky lay on IND at 1.05 when Smith came in
-
couldn't resist another lay when they hit 5s then, feel better now
-
just gutted to have left so much on the table, could have got in multiple times there but held off
-
