@nathan-bennett looks like some drizzle just before lunch, with heavy stuff arriving around 12.50. Not a long spell of rain though, so would expect the price to bounce back pretty quickly.
-
def intrigued richard comment lunch weather .., around the 22-24 over mark may back to lay draw
-
@nathan-bennett never mind. My India back worked perfectly, which gives me green to play with. This is my strategy recently. In and out as quick as possible in day 1, then just move the green around when there's value.
So I'm just going to wait. I don't have to lay the draw at all now, if it doesn't work out that way.
-
@matt-ayles sucks aye
-
I've managed to curse this again... asking the draw to get lower 2 minutes before the first wicket goes down. Typical.
-
@richard-futter brilliant thankyou
-
On the weather front, looks as though there could be some very heavy stuff during the lunch break. That should definitely push in the draw price. Should be short lived though.
-
@matt-ayles intrigue low 3's might just be awesome
-
How low do we think the draw goes? I'd love to see 3.0 but unless India lose no wickets before lunch I can't see that happening.
I had a back of India and my planned exit has already been hit which is lovely. 2.5 points green already to play with, but I am keen to get on this draw lay but at 4 its just a tad high for me...
-
Prices converging. England and India could be on level terms afore long.
-
Wow, toss surprised me, wonder how the odds would have moved in comparison had India won the toss and bat first.
-
@richard-futter love debutants maybe not first INNS .. i can see this draw steaming in standard styles after 4 overs
or not ha
-
Well, they did surprise me with the toss. And can't believe Ashwin has been left out too. A mistake by both teams in my assessment, but with two new openers I guess Stokes feels India will be undercooked and vulnerable early on.
-
OOOOoooo england loving the chase
-
@richard-futter brilliant as always.
At the prices I am drawn to an India back... I feel like Crawley especially is a walking wicket and Lees has been hit or miss. Although as mentioned, India are without key batsmen too...
I'm put off by the draw price, I'd prefer to lay that nearer 3s than 4s.
Certainly see why folks are struggling to make a call here.

The Tests continue to come thick and fast, and today's opening day of the delayed final Test between England and India at Edgbaston should be fascinating.
Backers are hugely favouring England, largely because of their outstanding showing against World Test Champions New Zealand and the fact that the Tourists are without their top two batsmen Rahul and Rohit.
But India will present a very different challenge. The Kiwis had no top-rated spinner in their ranks, whereas the team from the Sub Continent have two in Ashwin and Jadeja, while their pace trio of stand-in skipper Bumrah, together with Shami and Siraj are the equal of the New Zealand seam attack in my opinion.
Ashwin was left out by Kohli last summer. I'll be astonished if Bumrah follows suit. Equally surprising would be the omission of Pujara. Yes, he had a disappointing time of it last summer but he's possibly the most difficult man to dismiss in world cricket, and scored centuries and double centuries for fun while playing for Sussex in the County Championship earlier this season.
Despite, the odds, I see it as being pretty much a 50-50 call, with the edge possibly just going to Stokes' men as they've had the chance to build momentum during that combative three match series against NZ.
There should be a big advantage in batting first, with conditions looking perfect today, and odds will tumble on whoever wins the toss - unless they make a huge mistake by inserting the opposition.
The big question is whether Bairstow & Co can play the same happy go lucky style against the Indian spinners as they did against a very tired NZ attack; it could be a very different story this time round.
As for the draw, no one will be shocked to hear that I'll be very happy to lay all the way if it drops at all from its current price of around 4. Edgabston is very much a result wicket, and India will be itching to score their first ever victory there, while a stalemate is of course of no use at all to England.
I don't think that will be in Stokes' thinking for a single millisecond!

didnt expect the SRI game to be over so quickly.
-
@kevin-gedny a little bit of rain forecast early in day, so draw price might squeeze in a little, gonna Q up a little at 3.8
