@richard-futter yeah when the rain may come
be a nice free whack -
For no reason that I can see, they've delayed the start until 11.30, which means a back of the draw could be good.
-
Aussie favs bloody hell million dot balls two strokes played two wickets
how often -
Looks like some heavy rain will be hitting the Oval at around 11.30 this morning. Could be a good time to back the draw.
Overall, though, a draw looks an outside bet. There will be a threat of rain throughout, but bearing in mind the last two matches never threatened to go to a fourth day, laying the draw when the time is right should once again pay dividends.
With rain in the offing, there's a good chance whoever wins the toss will decide to bowl first - something Ben Stokes definitely favours. If they do bowl first, I would expect England's price to go heavily odds on.

@matt-ayles mainly a feel thing didn't get involved here surely that batting aus 1/100 stuff ha
like last night aus chasing started the chase 1.24 if that went into 1.10 ish early thats a huge lay
still so much time to go in the game etcit happens alot anyway can get trades out at double or triple the entry so good
-
@nathan-bennett does your lay under 1.1 strategy only apply during the first innings?
-
gees another example of filling up laying under 1.10
-
@matt-ayles cramped up massively in the chase the other night didnt recover
-
Why did Aus drop Green?
-
backed AUS runs over 163
nice one smith
ohwell
got there bonus
-
Of course the flip side is, these showery conditions are good for bowling so I would expect a bowl first choice if winnings the toss and early wickets...
-
this pitch AUS NZ doing nothing if aus get a moderate score def could be keen back aus when maxwell and zampa bowl
-
@matt-ayles hopefully not haha but yeah times up end of year
-
@nathan-bennett radar suggests rain over lunch but otherwise just intermittent showers.
However, given the recent weather in the UK these showers have been torrential and have been causing flash flooding... so if one of those hits the Oval it might take some time to dry, depending on how good their drainage is. Even as i type this we have one of the showers overhead and its pouring, but blows over in 5 mins (I'm over 100 miles from London so just info).

I've been keeping an eye on the forecast for this test all week, the forecast has never looked great (perhaps 3 days play tops) and the draw price seems to have slowly come in, yet for me the forecast for the 5 days seems to be improving according to the BBC (compared to what they thought last few days). The way I see it it could be close to 4 days play now, which is good for Bazball I reckon. So I've taken the plunge and layed at 3.45.

@stuart-wallace already come in to 3.4 since my post !
Getting ready with the button, as got caught by backing the draw expecting rain, but nothing significant came.
So far in both tests, the lowest the draw price ever got was whatever the pre-match odds were... i wasn't on either which is extremely frustrating.
However i guarantee if i get on the draw lay now it'll p*ss down all day tomorrow.

Im in at 3.35
