Trading the dead rubber this afternoon?
Also, is it right that Bairstow is out for England?
-
@nathan-bennett that's interesting to know. I think the biggest issue with using a bot for this is that you will definitely get 1 losing trade because someone will win. It seems a bit like Lay The Field for horse racing, if it only matches once you'll lose, if it goes 2+ you'll be fine.

@dan-mackinnon i've attempted bots in past obviously using less stakes than when viewing .. i went away from the bot having to trigger initial trade and instead just setting my 1.1 lays in play straight away and and offset to trigger x amount when matched
this was done via
how many seconds to match
first trade
i just guessed 3hours ish approx and used that 10800 seconds if correctalso had stop loss once upon a time that also ditched
why did i do thissay markets 1.11 ish and a wicket or 6 crashes the market your 1.10 lay gets matched and if games in super late stage your stop loss may get matched
always fun creating these
def keep us updated on progress -

I've set up a bot on Fairbot for the 1.1 strategy. I've also set up one that lays 1.4 for both teams. Unfortunately, I don't think FB can do 2 bots on the same market at the same time so I'll have to pick one to test.
I'll try and run it for the IND vs SA game and see if it works
This is the criteria I've set up for the bot so any FB users let me know if there's anything obviously wrong.
Bot starts from 0 minutes event start
2 rules - 1st rule for Home (selection 1) / 2nd rule for Away (selection 2)
Place trade
Lay @ 1.1
Back @ 1.2
SL @ 1.05 triggered at 1.08
Trailing stop loss
Success on repeat - Yes, limit 100No conditions - I've set it up in simulation mode in case I've missed something obvious

watching highlights
gees that slow over rate rule is a must to keep eye on -
@jonathan-busch you’ll get it back . when pak bat first be a low lay forsure
-
PAK-W Vs Bang-W
Drip layed Pak from 1.07 to 1.04 in first innings
Bangladesh currently 58/7 in 18th over
Looks like I'm not going to get out of this one...But probably worth a crack given what happened to Sri Lanka-W last night
Bit of a rain delay...might save me
-
@matt-ayles was that when WI were still batting then yeah if no confidence in there ability to push the market out just hold on the entry and wait till they bowl .
-
NZ W are a gift that just keep giving. Chasing 94, are 1.05 pre chase, drifted all the way to 2.24 and all the way back down again.
I was happy with my exits at 1.1 and 1.2 let alone if I'd waited for 2.2! -
More thinking from me (i do this too much). However, I'm following the WI-W v NZ-W game, and although NZ hit 1.1, i was looking at the match situation where the 2 batters in average 6 and are a rookie, so the odds are not likely to drift out but come in so there should be a much lower price to enter a lay.
Perhaps match reading it also required for a low lay strategy too?
-
Anyone fancy QdK to hit 36 off the last to force a super over?

@stuart-wallace as always with new strategies, we don't yet have enough data.
Maybe at 1.05 in the first innings you'd be better doubling down but at this stage its all guesswork.
Course if you double down you risk losing twice as much when SA decide to give away a maiden over then 2 wickets lol.

Was thinking, maybe the stop loss should only apply if you're laying late in the second innings? As quite often this week the 1.1 has continued down to 1.05 before any signs of drift.
I think that happens as the batting team are just setting a score, whereas in the second innings the boundaries and wickets are more costly.@matt-ayles said in BTC Cricket Trading Thread:
