easy 7 ticks NZ LAY after toss
come on the kiwi's
-
looked
if the favs were to go on and win each of there matches
nz aus be tied on points come down to run rate
(hopefully not boudaries) ha -
@chris-osborne @Nathan-Bennett
ENG would prob have to have beaten NZ anyway, so dont think its a disaster for them, because AUS has such a big NRR to recover , although AUS have to play IRE and AFG in remaining games. ENG also have an advantage in as much as they play SRI in the last game of the round, therefore will know exactly how many they need in how many overs should they bat second.
TBH, destiny is now in the hands of ENG, whereas AUS need either a favour or an upset. Would rather be in ENG camp at moment, however, they need to beat NZ first. -
Think that’s a bad outcome for both teams, probably worse for Australia.
We now have to win every game beating New Zealand is now huge, don’t know much about Sri Lanka these days.
Australia probably need results to go there way due to run rate.
Probably best outcome for Ireland and New Zealand.
Got to question the timing of this tournament if the weather is notoriously bad at this time of year

What happens to the ladder now

@matt-ayles one of the best

What's the drainage like at the MCG? Even if it stops raining, as you say it's been raining all day, will the outfield be playable?
-
@nathan-bennett I'm not in the cbd, bout 30min away but it's rained all day. The chance of rain in the city looks to drop off around 7pm to about 30-40%.
-
@andy at mo CMM suggests 1.45 aus eng will be a match how many overs who knows

gees could be lucky to get 5 overs a side in the AUS ENG game
just move venues ffs indoor venue at marvel
Wish they sorted that. Marvel had supercross over the weekend. They don't normally drop their wickets in till December. Usually have A league and concerts.

i read somewhere that AFG always like to bat first, and IRE would prefer to bowl first today because of weather.

Games tomorrow...
AFGG v IRE - 5am UK time
AUS v ENG - 9amBoth should be very interesting to trade
I've had my successes recently laying teams who are short prices pre match, but these 2 are more even in the markets so a different approach
Yes, both games evenly matched - i'm going to do the 3/4 tick scalp laying on the toss for both to see if i can get some easy money that way. Then hopefully maybe the 1.1 to 1.2 strategy too. (i did the 3/4 tick strat on the PAK /ZIM game today, forgot to place the contra back, and found myself with a 15 tick green instead )

Am i right in saying, because of the pasting that AUS got from NZ and the NRR affected therein, that a rain-off does AUS no good whatsoever?
Won't be much good for us either after the debacle yesterday.
Will mean we need to beat New Zealand to stand any chance of qualifying
-
Lay Pakistan 1.14 want 1.3 exit. Zim batting first.
Greened. Ideal start from Zim.
