I believe a decision regarding Englands test match will be made around 230am UK time... (730am local to Pakistan).
-
@stuart-wallace The balance is all wrong without Bairstow at 5
-
I find the ENG team selection to be a bit odd.... Livingstone effectively being picked as 2nd spinner ? and batting at 8 !!
Duckett,Crawley are going to be walking wickets in this environment, and therefore ENG will likely be 1/2 wickets down very quickly. -

Yes intrigue in draw market for a back if AUS bat first for a swing
A real hard 1.10 to lay to soon I think
Can’t waitDraw went from 24 to 12 , and imo ,likely to fall a little further , maybe 9/10 before AUS declare after Tea on 2nd day then it will start shooting up again once Cummins,Starc start making inroads into brittle WI batting.
Can see a finish inside 4 days for this one - should AUS enforce a follow-on. -
Good to have Test cricket back after a too, too long absence. The Aus-WI series looks a foregone conclusion so hard to see any value there, but the Pak-Eng three-match series should be a close fought, rewarding affair.
Traditionally, draws are very much the order of the day on the benign Pakistan surfaces, so the question is whether 'Bazball' will make results much more likely. Certainly England are fielding an ultra attacking side which hardly looks likely to be batting out too many draws.
So normally, a lay of the draw around 3 would be very tempting. Sadly, though, illness in the England camp has thrown a spanner into those particular works... for the time being at least. There is even talk of the match being delayed by 24 hours and reduced to 4 days. Light fades very quickly in these parts in the late afternoon, so if that does happen I would expect the draw price to plummet faster than Wales' World Cup hopes.
Definitely worth keeping an eye out for proceedings at Rawalpindi tomorrow morning, altough with the match due to start at 5am UK time, we'll need to be very early birds indeed!

@matt-ayles cause my match market trading is deep in red
hedging -
@nathan-bennett was just going to ask whether a back of Yes on completed match was value given they only need to come back out for 2 overs...
I get mixed reports on various weather sites.
-
wow coin flip completed match market
praying NO personally same my ass -
@matt-ayles wtf
-
if loosing trades in NZ IND COMPLETE MARKET could hedge or something as rain
just took some 1.5 for YES .. and dont care if lose that
and taken some 2.5 for YESget out of jail stuff
-
News just in that England have been struck down with a virus and may not be able to field 11 players for tomorrow's test.
-
Just woken up to NZ 1.01 no wickets down so can't see an entry there.
Aus 2 down at tea... is the 3rd session hard to bat through like it is in England? Maybe a lay of Aus if so.
@Chris-Osborne yeah Eng light all round which doesn't make for a confidence boosting test team does it? Wonder if Crawley is gonna continue his strike rate of 20...
-
NZ IND
NZ LAY 1.04 stake out 1.08 or next wicketwhoops couldnt help myself

Can’t wait -
@matt-ayles Bairstow is a big miss coming in at 5 gives a lot better balance.
I had a different thought when I saw the team and think were light in bowling. Root and Livingstone going to have to get a fair few overs in
-
As its overnight and I'll be asleep i won't be trading anything pre match.
Also, having seen the lineup for England, does it not seem light on batting again?

Have to admit my knowledge at that moment was only that the match was on, i hadn't looked at the odds at all.
What kind of pitch is it? If Windies bat first are Aus likely to drift? 1.25 to 1.3 would be decent.
I'd be thinking the other way. They've left 12mm on the pitch saying it will be spicy. Can't see Windies making runs. Maybe Aus bat 1st and lose a few wickets 1st session they may drift then??
yep, me too. cant see beyond a WIND drift.
