@stuart-wallace-0 yeh fair comment. My take on NZ is that they would risk losing a match in order to try and win which is great, as would the new England. Not sure Pak would.

Do we think NZ will be the only team to push a result with a declaration in their 2nd inning to give a sporting chance, unlike PAK last test who gave nothing. With that said it's hard to see NZ winning despite runs in the board? Is that wrong?

I have no solid opinion
Backed draw 6.4 to assess as play goes on etc
Usually spinners deck especially day 4&5
If delays in play Lyon may not be as affective ??
SA may go with an extra batter (prob should go with 11 ha)
I’m hoping for some extra effort by the SA batsmen and delays for this draw to plunge -

SCG BTW, has one of the highest ratios of draws (5 out of last 8 have been draws), along with Lords,Antigua and Karachi, and AUS have lost just once there in last 20 years.
It always rains in Sydney. From what I can see day 2, 4, and 5 look ok. I think day 2 and 4 will have rain but I think mostly not during play.
My initial thought was to lay draw after day 1 after rain and the forecast for more during the night. Hope there's a fair bit of play day 2 and trade out. Do the same day 3 on rain delay and look at a result.

Certainly looks like another flat track already.
Now, last test I made a loss because I laid the draw far too high and it never got near it again, and I said on here something like "laying Pakistan after the first innings was the call". Therefore, assuming it follows a similar trend, I'll say now, laying NZ after their innings should be the right call... hopefully this rings true, mistakes are learnt from, and in 5 days time I'll be talking about a nice green number.
