@Richard-Futter This. Cant see AFG batters playing out for 3 days.
BTW Shanto is going to be a very good player.

@Nathan-Bennett I think 4.6/4.7 is bottom out price , unless weather changes significantly.
i'm not entering for time being, unless price starts to drift, but will be looking to Lay intially, hopefully to reduce my liab on day 2 early, then look to back at back end of day 2 to ride the weather for day 3 - this will be crucial in timing, hopefully to then pick up the lay again begin day 4
Weather looks good for all 5 days except Sunday, so, if they were to lose all of Sunday, they will still be able to catch up an hour on both Monday and Tuesday, so a total of maybe net 2 sessions lost overall (isnt there a rule that day 5 must contain 90 overs?) Considering most ENG games nowadays are completed in 4 days or less, i still feel the weather may not play a significant part in the result.
All last 7 games at EDG has seen a result, with all finishing before lunch on day 5. -
AFGHAN BANG
BANG lay 1.53would like 2's to take stake out
-
@stuart-wallace-0 what we doing here back to lay styles or ... need to suss weather aswell .. in AUS tho doubt be accurate versus locals ha

@Richard-Futter Thanks Samo that's really helpful.

Layed at 3.3.

there is live video on flashscore

I'm liking the lay of the draw around 3.4 in the Bangla-Afghan Test at Mirpur. The Afghans play very little Test cricket, so their ability to hold out for a draw must be very limited, and the last 11 Test matches at Mirpur have all finished in positive results.
There is the threat of thunderstorms throughout the five days, so - as there are no live pictures that I can see - it makes sense to keep stakes sensible. But ground staff are brilliant at covering grounds in this part of the world and things dry out very quickly. I'll be very surprised if the draw does not trade considerably higher at various times during this match.

@Matt-Ayles
you can lay them now for 1,5 ish
is this some thing that is interesting? and why would that be
the starting price of them was 2
and the last 5 matches H2H they lostalso the draw is now around 3,3 is that a good lay opportunity ?
-
@stuart-wallace-0
is this a lay you would take?
i'm new to cricket trading but it caught my interest.

Hi folks, going to start to dabble in the Cricket markets ahead of a good summer of test cricket!
I take it with the weather looking mixed for Eng - Aus this weekend we expect Draw price to shorten? I'm going to try a LTD if I can get matched at 5/5.1, does this seem reasonable or better to wait a while?
Welcome David,
To Me, 5 is a good price - especially with Bazball - but obviously keep an eye on the weather. Generally, ENG matches have been taking less than 5 days since Ben and Baz, so i personally think a 1 day loss due to weather is acceptable - especially as they will catch up the equiv of 1 session, so total loss may only be 2 sessions.- plenty of time to get a result with the new ENG outlook on how to play. -

It must be weather related... accu-weather has minimum 60% chance of rain on all 5 days (suggests thunderstorms).
What's the drainage like at Mirpur? Is a thunderstorm going to flood the ground?
Ah yes, doh, it does help if i look at the weather forecast for Mirpur Bangladesh and not Mirpur Pakistan !!
Dumbo. -
@Matt-Ayles Cheers Matt, strange how different weather apps get it so variable.
I found this article, however it was from 2008 !....
'The Shere Bangla Mirpur Stadium became Bangladesh's sixth, and the world's 95th, Test venue in May 2007. It is fondly known as the "The New Home of Bangladesh Cricket" and is shaped like a rectangle as it was originally meant to serve as a football and athletics ground. The stadium also sports the biggest furniture market in Dhaka.The ground boasts the best drainage system in the sub-continent with some claiming that "15 - 20 minutes" are all you need to drain the field after some of the heaviest rainfall in Bangladesh.'
