Followed @Nathan-Bennett with the Aus lay earlier, have now greened that up.
Ideally like to lay the draw but the price is too high for me. Maybe England can bat 2 sessions tomorrow, bring it in a bit.
The way ENG bat, if they do bat for 2 sessions, then expect them to be 100 runs ahead by tea. If they have enough wickets left, then expect a declaration some hour before EOD with a 150 lead , its Stokes's style. Might be getting ahead of myself here !
Would put AUS under big pressure, also prob Lyon wont bat (not thats he is likely to score many runs anyway, though he did participate in partnership with Cummins for first Test.). -

Fascinating test match , finely poised.
Lyons injury may well mean him being out of the Ashes, would be a huge loss to the Aussies.
Especially in the 4th innings of this game.
Great fightback from ENG today. -
@Richard-Futter Mystic Meg is still alive and well! All out already
-
AUS LAY 1.6
happy to have a stab hoping for 2.2's ish when ENG bat then could look to the draw lay
...
taken stake out 2.10could be a good day to lay to back AUS on wickets for a swing and build green
-
Having just written that, the covers are coming on. lol.

Looks like the rain has already cleared away, and there doesn't appear to be any further worry on the weather front. I'm happy to lay the draw at 5, although it would be nice to get a price around the 4 mark. The Aussies were a little on the fortunate side yesterday, and it would be no surprise if wickets fell regularly today. Time will tell, but in the longer run I'm pretty certain the draw will trade much higher at some stage of the game. As always in Test cricket, it pays to be patient, because I think a stalemate is a real long shot.
-
Are we saying a lay at 4 would be value right now? The price has hardly moved for the last hour (presuming due to the pace they are scoring at)
-
We're getting a pasting here. Looks like those Ashes aren't heading back to Lord's any time soon (although of course, in actuality they always stay here!)
-
@Tony-Hastie How odd. Norwich has half the national average rainfall and is in the UK's top ten sunniest cities
-
@Richard-Futter It rained almost the entire time I lived in Norwich...but apparently it wasnt the "right" rain to end an alleged drought! Sounds like the same sort of rain
-
@Terry-Heller 4.0 on Betfair, 3-1 in bookies' terms

Be interesting to see how far the draw price will drop here without a wicket falling. Anything 4 or under would be a great lay.
Just for my own clarification is that fractional or decimal odds?

unreal fielding is this the west indies

Rain stops play. Something of a surprise as there's none at all on the radar. Must be that very light drizzle which doesn't register on the charts; but it can be very persistent and stop play for several hours on occasions.
-
Drat. Someone knocked on the door just before the toss!
-
Also, cloud around all morning - could provide lateral movement.
-
I think ENG should chase every game so this is good

@Richard-Futter Thanks for the advice, will keep a look out
