Will Port Of Spain 'do an Old Trafford' and save the Windies by chucking it down all day? Probably not, but there's little doubt there'll be interruptions which I reckon could well mean the hosts can save the match.
Not doing anything yet, but will definitely be worth watching as the covers go on and come off on repeat.

Trusting West Indies
Buyer be ware ha
Might lay the draw twice
Current odds and again at half those odds if happensDo we get 3 full days 5th test
-
@Matt-Ayles I believe it's an early start and 98 overs due as well.
-
Anyone got a half reliable weather forecast for the final day in Windies? Draw is both backable or layable!
-
@Stuart-Wallace such a disappointing weekend (I do still love Manchester though! Great city!) The Open was a total dud and ended up barely watching any sport on what I thought would be a great sporting weekend!
-
Manchester...s**t place,s**t ground and s**t weather.
No Ashes in 2027........good riddance.
Thanks for a big red. -
I'll give up weather forecasting. Reckon if they want to carry on playing Test cricket at Old Trafford they'll need a roof!

play to start at 1. Watch Draw go north - got in at 1.13.
Unless,of course, there is more rain- !

THIS SUCKS and don't even care about my 750 red
easy get it back
but what a way for these group of aussies to retain the ashes
No Lyon NO ashes FFS -
Seems I was a shade over optimistic on starting on time. The darkness might be a problem here through the day too.
-
@Matt-Ayles Yeah, the bleak forecasts do seem to be at odds with the picture the radar is painting this morning. If you believe the BBC and Met Office you wouldn't think there's a chance of a ball being bowled, but I have a feeling we'll see a fair few hours' play.
-
I agree with Richard, it looks bleak on most weather forecasts so I've removed liability on the draw. Thankfully i had worked a position where i can leave a point on the result with a scratch on the draw.
Not the big result i was looking for, but it's about risk management for me.Hopefully England can get the win though so we can take them down the last!
-
Looking at the radar, seems most of the bad weather is passing just to the north of Manchester; unless something changes dramatically I think there's a good chance of a prompt start. Don't take it for granted, but I reckon a small lay of the draw at 1.5 or so might well pay dividends later.
-
@Nathan-Bennett looks same as yesterday here at the moment, maybe a touch less gloomy but not much
-
1.3-1.5’s
Tell me suns out ha -
Farrrrrr almost two quick ones
Variable spin bounce huge -

Specked some @200 caving in (would green that up in 20’s ish)How good if this becomes Eng chasing 120 off 14
Overs final day haAlso more draw lay low 1.4’s
LIFT SOME GREEN

Not an exact science, but judging by the radar looks like pretty light rain will return around 5.00 and last about an hour. Can play until 7.30 although I'm not sure the light will be good enough to go on that long.

@Richard-Futter why does it take so long?! We've had a nice window in the weather, inspection took over half an hour, then a 45 minute wait before start of play. They know the rains coming back, just get them out there!
Don't ask me! I know in Sri Lanka they cover the whole ground and are usually back on in about ten minutes once it stops - does take an awful lot of trained ground staff though.
