got in after first wicket as expected a bit of consolidation, just took a hit on that
Dangerous game that: I always like to see the start of a partnership before going for a reverse - perhaps both batsmen hitting double figures or a partnership of 20 or so. Wickets often fall in clumps.

@this-guy they look edgy don't they! wait and see if they settle a bit before getting in if going for Aus
just decided to cash out loss and wait for the right moment to start again... need to be patient here.

must be expecting few dot balls early
They'll need wickets - I don't think Finch or Warner will be going mad early on. They'll try to be solid and pick off the bad balls. Not putting any money in just yet.

@richard-futter yes, same, i jumped on aus after the toss, stole a few ticks on the way down, but surprised its drifted back up...

Surprised to see the England price shortening here. The toss should give Australia a big advantage as long as they bat reasonably well.
-
@nathan-bennett easy few ticks there!

Eng 1.78 my eyes

This is my first post, but I just wanted to say thank you to the people who contribute on this thread.
I've been able to pick up so much knowledge sifting through the posts on here. I have only placed 13 cricket trades in my life, all during this world cup. I'm up £1,300 so far, making £878 on the India vs New Zealand game. For someone who started taking trading super seriously at the start of last January, this has been my best day of trading so far. I genuinely don't understand why cricket trading is not popular.
Special mention to Martin for writing this gem of an article that got me into cricket trading in the first place:

New zealand start with games against Sri lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. 3 must wins if you want to progress, but the 3 worst rated teams. New zealand are always thereabouts in these big comps. They have a great bowling lineup for english conditions, good odi batsmen and probably the best fielders in the comp. I just wanted to see if there was an angle of backing them at start of tourn, then after these 3 games with the momentum and people catching on to then get liability out market. Still judging that but its an angle i like and will watch the warm ups to see there squad further.
You are right they are the appealing prices in this market, especially NZ.
