@liam-fox if you mean that side of the market then yes it's easier to trade the shorter price in terms of getting matched. scalping is a good place to start, low risk and you can really learn how markets behave, for example a boundary can make a team's price come in a few ticks in T20 but there is often a 1-2 tick bounce-back before the next ball is bowled.
One strategy @Richard-Futter likes is to back a team who are decent odds when their batsmen get a half decent partnership going and get in, usually 20 run partnership. Often we have seen the market start to move quickly in that teams favour after that, of course a wicket would mean price would drift somewhat but it works more often than not.
We make a lot of money laying prices that are too short in test cricket, so the draw is often a good one to lay as they are extremely rare and often it can hit 3.0 or less very early on in a test.
The other angle we love is when a team is chasing a big total in the 4th innings of a test but a much shorter price than they should be. So for example a team chasing 400+ has only ever won 3 times in the history of the sport, we are talking thousands of tests, yet you would be surprised how often a team will trade below 10.0 and sometime close to evens in this situation if they make a good start.

What kind of strategy do people reccomend for someone who is new to trading cricket? Is it better to mostly trade on the favourite where the most liquidity is?
-
@nathan-bennett I guess that's where making a typo is beneficial. Well I make that many typo errors I like to think it helps. lol
-
@gary-brown soory yes. fortunately didn't get involved if had of would of been for say a 20-40 tick trade removing liability and monitoring from there
-
@nathan-bennett Hi Nathan not sure I understand the message I guess its a potential trade to look for
-

All over before lunch?
Could well be. Captain can delay by 30 mins too if they think they can bowl them out.
To be fair to Ireland, I think a lot of teams would struggle today in these conditions. -

Too kind. Where is Luke? Hope he's back for the Ashes. I know he loves his Test cricket.

I'm having a back of England at 1.5 - reckon Ireland will struggle to get close to a winning total.
great shout!

Looking at the BBC forecast it looks horrible for Lord's tomorrow. If there's much more rain today, a draw may not be out of the question. Currently at 75 but could shorten fast if there's more rain.
-
@luke-ridger you reckon? Ball to swing?
-
@richard-futter England have a winning score imo aswell.
