Looking at the radar, doesn't seem like there'll be any significant rain. An odd short shower or two. Even so, the pitch looks much slower than expected, so I could easily see the draw price shorten during the afternoon session.

@josh-shaw This one looks difficult to call at the moment, because it looks like there will be rain about in the first three days (in Manchester? Surely not!).

At the moment none of the days look like a total washout and I'll still be very surprised if there isn't a positive result, but with the final two days looking set fair we could get some very tasty lay prices later in the match.

As for the eventual outcome, I think Australia should be solid favourites. They have the world's best Test Match batsman back in tow, and the magic of Stokes notwithstanding, they've been much the better side in the series so far.

If the weather plays ball, though, it should be a cracking match and hopefully will offer plenty of profitable trades.

Looking ahead to the ashes, draw currently sits at 3.75 with 2 of the first 3 days predicting rain. People's thoughts?

@michael-brady You're a winner - still no draw in Colombo since 2003! But is Wales no longer in the UK? I blame Brexit ๐Ÿ˜„

I blame brexit for a lot of things these days ๐Ÿ˜‚

I decided to leave it. But woke up this morning and saw a couple of wickets so layed New Zealand off to to get my liability back. So it leaves me looking like this.

    Sri Lanka - 30
    New Zealand - 22.80
    Draw - 0.60

Kiwis are going to win this; hope everyone held on to their earlier lays of the draw rather than trading out for a big loss. Must never give up hope here; draws are rarer than hen's teeth in Colombo.

Yep, I just ignored my trade and let it run instead of trading for a loss. Helps Iโ€™m away in a caravan in wales with the family and signal is bad.
Plus to boot Betfair have directed me to a message screen saying I may be accessing from a country that they donโ€™t accept bets from so I canโ€™t log in this morning to trade out even if I want too.

Draw has been as low as 1.04 in Sri Lanka - now heading out towards evens. Amazing how quickly they can get up and playing after a deluge in that part of the world. Laying the draw in Test cricket really is a goldmine for savvy traders.

@luke-ridger Did you not get most of your stake out after the Butler wicket? or did you play it a different way?
