I'm really liking the lay of the draw at just over 3.0 in the second Test between Sri Lanka and New Zealand at Colombo, starting tomorrow morning.
The best thing to do with SL weather forecasts is to ignore them completely. They're virtually worthless.
And there hasn't been a drawn Test at this ground in 16 years. I fancy another SL win. They're on a three match winning streak and, amazingly, they could end this series ahead of England in the Test rankings.

@martin-futter Just traded out at $2.60 for a nice 25% profit.
Still learning trading but this is all without a ball being bowled madness ! -

Colombo weather for the next 5 days is thunder storms an 90% chance of rain, draw currently at $3.35. @Martin-Futter
Looks like a lovely entryforecast does look pretty grim! wouldn't go in to heavy at this stage though, you just never know with these forecasts, maybe a small back.

Looks like a lovely entry -
@dave-jessop the ICC passed the law 17 days before the first Ashes test started. The concussion substitute needs to be deemed a like for like replacement. So Laba’s was allowed cause he’s a middle order batsman who bowls a bit of leg spin.

This should be fun

Excellent captaincy if they declare in the next over. Have a go

@richard-futter cheers mate and just heard about Smith will definitely affect Headingly.
-
Archer has knocked Smith out of the rest of this match --- and almost certainly the next Test too. That will affect the markets hugely.
-
@james-woodroffe I think a draw is the most likely outcome - would bank the green if I were you
-
@richard-futter hi mate I’m currently away with work but see the draw price is at 1.35 thinking of laying again with green from the test. Confident we will see a result today?
-
I don't think we'll lose too many overs. 98 are due to be bowled and we only start to lose any of those once play is delayed by more than 30 minutes. Not at all surprised to see the draw price rising now.
-
Thanks Richard. Hoping we get some play in the next hour or so. Really playing blind over here in Aus as no idea on the weather conditions in and around Lords. I appreciate the updates.

Price down to 1.29 - but I don't think we're going to lose too much play. Got to lay at that price.

Rain really close to Lord's now. Almost certain to be a delay.... odds could shorten further during the hour before the start is due.
-
Just had a look at the radar and there definitely appears to be some solid rain heading towards Lord's but there's a reasonable chance it could clear away before play is due to start. Don't forget that, barring the weather, they will definitely play the full 98 overs today --- that's an awful lot of cricket and I would be very surprised if the draw price doesn't trade considerably higher than it's current level.
-
Worth keeping an eye on the Lord's weather this morning. The Met Office forecast is suggesting a delayed start due to rain, but if this does not materialise I would expect the current draw price of 1.43 to drift a bit.

I really hope no one backed the draw
