@richard-futter 5 into 3.3... lovely.

Looking at the radar, doesn't seem like there'll be any significant rain. An odd short shower or two. Even so, the pitch looks much slower than expected, so I could easily see the draw price shorten during the afternoon session.
-
Rain due after lunch which could mess with the day but nothing expected in the first session.
-
@nathan-bennett it was hammering it down in the early hours of the morning, its cloudy at the moment with no rain though..
-
any rain yesterday leading up to today , delay start possible ? that's always a market watch when the world see the covers on
-
@josh-shaw This one looks difficult to call at the moment, because it looks like there will be rain about in the first three days (in Manchester? Surely not!).
At the moment none of the days look like a total washout and I'll still be very surprised if there isn't a positive result, but with the final two days looking set fair we could get some very tasty lay prices later in the match.
As for the eventual outcome, I think Australia should be solid favourites. They have the world's best Test Match batsman back in tow, and the magic of Stokes notwithstanding, they've been much the better side in the series so far.
If the weather plays ball, though, it should be a cracking match and hopefully will offer plenty of profitable trades.

Looking ahead to the ashes, draw currently sits at 3.75 with 2 of the first 3 days predicting rain. People's thoughts?

not much ability to post on holiday overseas but yes couldn't help but lay draw 1.14 remove red 1.28 in blink of eye #handy

@michael-brady You're a winner - still no draw in Colombo since 2003! But is Wales no longer in the UK? I blame Brexit
Good news, I always have faith in the lay the draw.
I blame brexit for a lot of things these days -

Kiwis are going to win this; hope everyone held on to their earlier lays of the draw rather than trading out for a big loss. Must never give up hope here; draws are rarer than hen's teeth in Colombo.
Yep, I just ignored my trade and let it run instead of trading for a loss. Helps Iโm away in a caravan in wales with the family and signal is bad.
Plus to boot Betfair have directed me to a message screen saying I may be accessing from a country that they donโt accept bets from so I canโt log in this morning to trade out even if I want too.
Bloody Betfair -
Test cricket again showing why it can do the impossible.

Draw has been as low as 1.04 in Sri Lanka - now heading out towards evens. Amazing how quickly they can get up and playing after a deluge in that part of the world. Laying the draw in Test cricket really is a goldmine for savvy traders.

Had some re-entries as the runs ticked down from 70s .....
