@Dan-MacKinnon I happily lay at that price at times
I'd still say it's good for Tomo but with the unknown of the rain I've held off getting involved as it could change so for me I'll just wait for another opportunity.
Very useful to know. As a rookie i didnt go in this morning and couldnt believe how fast it climbed, il know for next time i suppose.
They are saying 1% chance of a draw, so laying at 12 is surely still value. But yes the weather being the big unknown.Draw was above 20 at points today, a couple of wickets and it will surely climb fast again.

@Nathan-Bennett @Richard-Futter thanks for the responses. I was thinking more about upper limits to LTD. I ask because with the horse racing it’s not uncommon to lay at odds of 15.
Looking at the draw price around 9.6 it seems quite low considering the possibility of there being a draw from this position. Or is the risk vs reward not worth it?

Boom boom - lovely jubbly!
-
Boom.
-
The Aussies look short at 1.58 to me. Worth a small lay surely.
-
@Dan-MacKinnon Only when it's about to rain heavily I would say. Otherwise I would hardly ever back the draw in a Test match, except in the women's Tests which often seem to end in a draw. The one this week might not, however, as it's over five days as opposed to the usual four.
-
@Dan-MacKinnon yes ! plenty opportunities to back to lay draws
A lot of feel to it
Partnerships in certain game situations are a key this -
My LTD is showing a nice green right now.

Intriguing game.
Thought Bairstow was plum LBW on second Boland ball that AUS didnt review!Need another 150 runs to get ENG to declare. Weather in morning looks like it might help bowlers.
-
Is there a point that you would say the draw price is too high? More as a general question rather than specific to this match
-
Stokes 1 off 13... does he understand Bazball?
Think if England press on this afternoon they'll declare with and hour or so to go before close.
-
98 overs today AND tomorrow.
-
what do we think ENG need
320 ish -
England planning a tea time declaration?
-
Classic start Root
-
A clear day's cricket today - and they can make up some lost time from yesterday, so things could move quickly I reckon. Happy to lay the draw all day long at anything under 5; always bearing in mind we could be in for a wet start tomorrow.
-
One thing to watch our for today is a probable Stokes declaration from 45 mins before EOP. Thats assuming they are still batting of course.
-
@Dan-MacKinnon Personally, I don't like to 'trade blind' as it were. I like to see what's happening before me, or at least see the current weather radar, but I guess if the weather's definitely clear there wouldn't be any real harm to put in a lay a few ticks under the end-of-day price in the hope of a better value lay. I never leave trades overnight as it would spoil my night's sleep!

@Richard-Futter agree. Thanks for you post this morning suggesting you green up at the end of each day. I’ve removed liability on the draw and left the green on ENG and AUS.
Do you ever queue up trades like LTD now to see if it’ll come in before tomorrows play?
