@richard-futter so are you just holding fire or do you fancy a back of the draw which is the way I’m thinking at the moment.
-
@nathan-bennett Learning curve for me Nathan. Interested to know if you place similar size back bets on the two options or more when it hits 3.60 ?

@richard-futter are you looking at drip laying England as their price shortens?
No. That was a very short term lay.... greened up on the wicket. I would never drip lay at this early stage of the game. Quite fancy some big scores on this pitch.

lay SA myself at 2.7 back bets in at 3.6 and 4.4 .. heading out stop loss when 3 down if before my back bets matched

draw price into 7 - not a surprise
-
boom
-
Layed England at 2.02. Seems very short indeed to me.
-
can see a weird market as always like 5-0 England and odds on , might hold and see . lay then
-
England look short to me at around 2.30, considering how weak their batting line-up appears. The experts seem to think the conditions will favour the side batting first which probably explains their price, but surely has to be worth a little lay at the start in case of an early wicket or two.
I also think the draw looks high at 11, on what is expected to be a batting friendly pitch. Expect it to trade quite lower than that during the match.

@gregory-emblin fair point mate I might wait till the toss and see what the chat is closer to the time.

Hi James, there is some talk of smoke haze from the fires in NSW interrupting play at some stage. So it makes the puzzle a little harder. No guarantee there will be a stop to play, but just factor it in, if you have not done so already.
-
Morning gents, (or evening) just wondering if anybody is tempted by the 5.40 on offer to lay the draw for the 3rd test in Sydney starting this morning. If the Kiwis are without Williamson and Nicolls that would be massive especially considering no Boult either.
-
@richard-futter and yet still 100 runs short! it so rarely fails that lay
-
A good batting effort from England in fairness, but they were going for their biggest ever successful run chase in Test cricket. The odds were always going to be overwhelmingly against them. I just love taking money off those super-optimists who always seem to think the chasing team will do it.
-
England out to 13... lovely jubbly.
-
Just can't see England winning.... they certainly can't afford to lose any more wickets before the new ball arrives after lunch. Nice green now; hope a few others have managed to get in some good priced lays of England.
-
Right, drip laying from 6 downwards.
-
Hopefully England will make a decent start and might come into a layable price.... anywhere near 6 and I will definitely be on board.

Hard to see England fighting their way back into this one. No team has ever scored 250 in the fourth innings here - even to hang on for a draw - and with Buttler and Root both suffering with the lurgy, it looks a forlorn hope.
