You can always rely on England for a good old-fashioned batting collapse!
-
Is laying England an option now does anyone think?
-
I'm waiting at the moment, as I feel it could go quite a bit lower - but I never discourage anyone from laying the draw if they fancy it. Also only one of the last 11 Tests at The Oval has finished in a draw.

@richard-futter great shout . thanks Paine

Should lay draw here,or wait !!

2.82 to 5.0 - that will do nicely

@richard-futter I was thinking that I would green up when the draw went under 4βs and lay the draw around then?
-
@richard-futter I backed England at 2.00 at drinks. The Aussies are 3.60 to lay do you think I would be better off closing the Eng back and laying Oz at the odds they are now?
-
@james-woodroffe Yes. My reasoning is that both England and the draw are shortening, so likely to get more bang for my buck laying the Aussies
-
might jump in here , something that I like to do is hold until my profit shows around 25% of my risk . so $100 risk start reducing risk when showing $25 green .., then $50 green reduce some more β¦ no science just a aim of what want to get out of the market
-
@richard-futter as opposed to backing England?
-
Have had a lay of Australia at 2.82
-
@richard-futter you and me both mate, Australia very rarely donβt bat first when winning the toss. Odd call.
-
@james-woodroffe Moving quite a bit now; England now favourites. Very strange decision by Paine - and it certainly caught me out!
-
Sound advice .. Like it
-
Still find the toss effect interesting never really thought about it before.

No one knows more about this pitch than Alec Stewart and he says it will be difficult for the first hour but after that it should be superb for batting for the next day or two. If England have lost no more than one wicket by 12, I'll be backing them. Could easily be 1.5 later in the day.
