I think there'll be plenty of opportunities to lay the draw today. If Burns and Sibley get through the first 30-40 mins I would expect the price to come in quite sharply, and anything around 3 or under would be terrific value in my book. With extended hours, there's an awful lot of cricket to be played and England clearly expect the pitch to deteriorate by day five.

@nathan-bennett could go either way but condtions will be better for england to bat
-
Be keen to see Eng build partnership(s) and lay WI if markets on the move. Hard to predict draw market at the mo maybe becomes clearly after first hour or so , may even dive shorter ... Anyone feel free to chime in
-
@dan-erridge not uncommon mate u use get big over reactions in the market if u wacth careull after a wicket
-
@richard-futter good vuale u just think that with 2 more sunny days a result would happen unless england bat long this time but even then prob they would look to force the play
-
@sajjo-lohar i love test macth trading it is a shame there isnt more test on

Drip laying the draw now from 4 after backing the Windies yesterday at the start of their innings and just greening up at 2.28. Out with the family so not sure but will check what price I backed them. I think it was 3.35.
Apologies for the after timing. Re the Windies trade. Was on the football forum a bit yesterday and didn’t realise I hadn’t posted here till just now.

@dan-erridge I'm drip laying from 4.5 downwards
-
@richard-futter would you be looking around the 5mark again to lay?
-
Draw price crashing back in almost straight away - gonna be laying it again very soon.
-
Draw out from 3.9 to 7.0. Lovely jubbly
-
blimey, the draw just jumped from 4.2 to 6 on 1 wicket!

so as a complete newbie to cricket trading, are there any positions i should be taking this morning? would appreciate any advice, thanks in advance
The way the draw is crashing in, I would say if it goes down to 3.5 that would be an excellent lay position. If you're new to Test match trading make sure you keep your stakes fairly low until you're much more comfortable with how markets move in this form of the game. You might need some patience, but things can suddenly change very quickly with wickets tending to fall in clumps - exactly as we saw with England when Buttler and Stokes seemed to be going so well before three wickets fell for three runs.
-
Drip laying the draw from 5 downwards; think the draw backers are being lulled into a false sense of security here.

@richard-futter this is my fav staragy but unfor there is not much test cricket per year
There's usually lots at this time of year in England, and plenty in SA, Aus , India later in the year. But these are obviously unusual times.
