All the luck is going to NZ. Beginning to think Dave Jessop is a clairvoyant
-
still fancy england to get an early wicket here though

New Zealand havent made 6 overs without losing a wicket all world cup though... could be on a hiding to nothing playing the lay england early game
-
eng sp 1.32 reckon
-
@richard-futter should come back in before the start like last time
-
Had a little back of England at 1.38

Interesting fact: teams batting first have won 7 of the 9 world cup finals played so far. And left arm seam bowlers (like Boult) have a terrific record at Lord's.

The odds on the final just about right for me --- England are by some distance the better of the two sides overall.
But in this sport, individual performances count for an awful lot and in Kane Williamson and Trent Boult NZ have two world class performers. If Williamson scores a big hundred and Boult produces one of his devastating opening spells, then the Kiwis will have a big chance.
However, England have a team virtually full of potential match winners in both the batting and bowling departments.
For me, whoever bats first could have a big advantage, although only if they can make a good start.
Once again, if NZ bat first I will be backing England as the Kiwis' opening partnerships have been abysmal so far. But if, after that, Williamson gets his eye in, I'll swing behind the Kiwis for a while.
On a totally different tack, Federer looks outstanding value at 2.7 for me today!

Thoughts on Final:
England look a short price at the moment but not too short that I would take it on at this stage. If NZ bat first and put up 250+ and the price is similar to I would take us on despite the form we have shown.
If England bat first and ever touch 1.5 I would be hard pressed not to back it, even if we lose a couple of early wickets we have seen that anything above 200 has been a tough ask most of the time throughout the tournament.
