@james-woodroffe hopefully they apply themselves market suspect pitch getting better etc then we can flip it again ha
-
That was pathetic by Sri Lanka in all honesty.
@Nathan-Bennett could be right re the draw massive chance for Sibley, Crawley and Bairstow to really bury them today crazy to think this has all transpired in what 45 overs? -
something small on the draw now see if hits 9-8's . gut says can if eng openers are sound they way SRI loosing wickets seem weak
-
all of a sudden SRI look mad unders
-
runs a premium already . got lucky during outage . back to all on the draw lay for now
-
This is going to be so tough for England. I feel they really need to bowl SL out today to have a realistic chance. Batting last on this track will be very testing indeed.

Or even during the lunch interval FFS?
Was thinking the same thing but we back up now. -
@richard-futter plenty upset in aus , the last one they planned well for 15min before the bash started . hopefully we back in a sec

Or even during the lunch interval FFS?

@nathan-bennett Right.... strange time to do it; couldn't they have done it well before the cricket which has almost £6 million traded?
-
twitter . 15min scheduled , i forgot put in a small lay eng after some early green . this should be interesting ... @Richard-Futter only way can watch is through bet365 they currently doing maintenance
-
Betfair have suspended the market for no apparent reason. Someone has dropped off and elbowed the suspend button I reckon.
-
Definitely is turning already. Draw lay looking very good.
-
Dom Bess coming on. Will be interesting to see if there's any turn on day one. If there is, we can pretty much discount the draw totally
-
@nathan-bennett nice start to the morning.
-
following . outstanding
-
@richard-futter yep it definitely moved quickly. Looks like a bad toss to lose and could be a long long day for England already.
Spoke to soon
-
Draw into 3.3 after just 15 minutes or so; just get the feeling it could go a fair bit lower if England fail to make a breakthrough.

I'm totally with James. Loving the draw lay here. Rain always seems to be in the forecast at Galle but quite often never really materialises, as the fact that there hasn't been a draw in Sri Lanka since 2014 indicates.
Galle pitches are usually decent for batting for the first couple of days, before turning square later in the match, so we may see the draw price come in further as early play progresses, but I reckon lays between 3-3.5 will pay dividends in the long run.
Whoever wins the toss is certain to bat, and I would expect their odds to tumble in quite a bit.

@sameer I’m going to have a look on Cricinfo to be positive but I was in Sri Lanka in 2018 when England last toured and won the series 3-0. From memory only 1 test went to the 5th day and that was wrapped up by lunch. I also kinda remember a fair bit of rain in Pallakelli and Colombo. Which is kinda irrelevant given both tests this time are in Galle but the Galle test was definitely over on day 4 cause I spent day 5 in Hikkaduwa I just can’t remember if it rained much but every time I’ve toured Sri Lanka there’s always been rain.
Just had a look and the last two tests haven’t been particularly high scoring and there’s only been 2 +400 first innings scores since 2015. India rattled off 600 which is huge anywhere and SL posted 400+ in easy victories over Bangladesh and the West Indies. The draw has already moved out now to 3.70 and Sunday now looks clear with a 70% chance of thunderstorms on days 3 and 5. Wish I saw that when the draw price was 3.10
